A couple hours ago I uploaded a few images and each time a message came up saying that the thumbnail wouldn't load until you completed the upload process. Why did they change this? I can't even inspect the image as it will be shown to customers until AFTER I finish and save everything? Ridiculous.

I'm having the same issue. Haven't been able to upload there since last night.

Uploading isn't the issue. The fact that the thumbnail no longer shows is the issue.

I know. But I usually upload to a few sites at a time, so I can't remember what image I uploaded since the thumbnail doesn't show up. Sent an email to support, no response.

No-one works at CR over the weekend.
(NB, I still have an unanswered CR ticket from 6th December.)

What a bug on a microstock agency. Well there's a first. 

I discovered if you hit the refresh button after uploading the image shows up. Give it a try.

Amazing they did this on purpose. Absolutely amazing.

Why not share who you are? It can't be that difficult, surely.

I think it's quite easy to get used to the new system, it did seem a bit weird at first but the increase in speed makes up for the lack of image. It was pointed out that you can add 5 general keywords then return to edit it later when the image is visible, if that is a problem.

Yeah, but it's more difficult, as the iS post said, with editorial captions.
I'd find it unacceptable not to be able to see the image while writing the caption, and dislike DM for uploading.
Still, as it's pointless uploading to iS at the moment, it's moot.

Well I'm still uploading, and although new files aren't currently selling as well as old ones I am getting sales, and if I'm going to be carrying on producing images I may as well upload them as have them sitting unused on my hard drive. Glad to know my activity is pointless though.

OK, I'll change that to 'pointless for me and many others, over a range of genres, are experiencing the same. YMMV'.

If you bothered to check, of if you'd happened to see my earlier posts on msg, you'll see I've been dripping up photos I've been taking anyway as tests, purely to see how they are faring in the best match. I deliberately choose low-supply, low-demand images, to make it easier for me to track them. I've uploaded precious few in the past year, after deactivating over 100 which had sunk beyond trace in the best match last Feb, compared to my average of c20 per week in the couple of years before that.
One recent upload from the 10th is interesting. It arrived in the best match at #9/141 for its main search term, and  3-4 days later, it had sunk to  #30/141, below several older files with 0 dls:
1 exclusive from May 2013
1 exclusive from Nov 2012
1 exclusive from Oct 2009
1 indie from May 2009
1 exclusive since Feb 2012
1 indie, from Oct 2007
Why a new exclusive file with 0 sales in a week should fall below an indie file with 0 sales since Oct 2007 is impossible to explain logically.

In case  you think I'm paranoid, I am aware that in at least one other test term I use, I have older files with 0-5 dls sitting several hundred places above a newer (not 'new') Vetta file with >35 dls, so even the old, hated, Vetta push (which I never saw on that file) has gone. Apparently.

BTW, have you noticed the phenomenon experienced by many people for over two years now (maybe even since late 2010) whereby if a newish file dares to get a sale it sinks much lower in the best match? With my newish files, it seems inevitable. I've even had at least one of mine and read of other people's files which went right to the bottom of the best match on their main keyword after two dls. Anecdotally, the 11th dl raises the file in the best match, but mine are lost without trace and don't reach that giddy height. 

Added: the other two uploaded that day are each showing 1 view (yours?) and are showing as #8 and #9 of 160, so the views presumably boosted them.

They actually did this on purpose? There is no microstock site that doesn't show the thumbnail image of any upload during the keywording process. But Istock has such major site speed issues they need to take this drastic measure? Seems like there's some bigger fundamental flaw somewhere if they have to resort to less functionality to keep the site alive.
