Title: No views
Post by: HappyBunny on October 04, 2016, 12:41
Am I doing something wrong? I have just noticed that many of my images on iStock have 0 views. I am not exclusive with them.

I don't know but Istock reporting is very er confusing I only look at sales on all sites as they all treat "views" differently. For example on Dreamstimes I have some images with thousands of views and no sales.

I have hardly any views and no sales on DT :-)  For me iStock is just as bad as DT. I had hoped to do as well with iStock as I do with Fotolia.

For me I stock is third and a long way ahead of DT which  is a bit of a disaster lately. Its only really SS and Fotolia that are consistent earners for me lately.

No sales for 10 days! Normally make about $200 a month. Very strange.

VERY low sales for me too, about half.  Ended up at $400 ish for Aug and Sept looks to be done and I am at $200 with 4200 assets.

IMO iStock has become mainly a subscription site - certainly in terms of d/l numbers;

'normal' downloads are still significant in terms of revenue, though d/l numbers (and views) have plummetted...  (cannibalised by subscriptions, I believe).

difficult to be optimistic...

I am with Istock for about 2 years, and I have less than 500 files online. I usually make 150$-220$. Istock was my best selling site. I have more files on shutter, but I make less $. September was my BME. I do not why, but Istock is doing good for me, compared to other sites.

all the new content has 0 view...they screwed up the best match...so now you find just the old stuff in front

No wonder I am doing so very bad on iStock. I only sold 2 images in six months. And not one of my bestsellers that sell on SS and Fotolia. The 2 sales I had about 4 months ago. Ever since nothing.

IStock is a total waste of my time that's true but I am doing very well on SS and Fotolia. I only started a few months ago. I only have 150 images on SS so far. I have 200 on DT but there I have sold 2 images in the 9 months I am with them. DT was the first agency I signed up with.
