For me, a poor November, well down for $$$ on Novs '24 and 23, despite many more uploads and many more sales.
However, 156 of these were the 5c sales to Amazon Alexa Visual Search.
Looks like there have been more of these nominal 'sales' even this month, as I've had big upticks of sales in the last three days.
Funnily enough, Making Bezos Richer isn't my mantra, but it seems to my Sitz im Leben.   :( >:(

Much better than Nov 2024, 452$.

Stockhome Syndrome

Not terrible.  About $933.  21% less than October, which is generally my best month of the year.

I generally get a bit over $1,000, so I'll take ~$70 less.  A typical trend for me come the end of the year is for my numbers to end a bit on the low side.

rushay

Okayish month and Trumps 30% tax now reflects on the latest statement.

Does anyone know why my Net payment is more than the headline figure reported on the online summary statement? Also when I export the data into a spreadsheet and add up the Gross Royalty in USD column the amount is well under the total earnings?

I'm guessing Net payment includes sales I haven't taken much notice of before. Not complaining though that said, my overall results are less than 2024 and 2023.

Annual AI bonus is added this month.

Ah okay thanks for that.

It's better than last month. I tried for the first time to print out the sales sheet. It was literally a book. Then I looked at the numbers and felt sad.

Worst in 13 years. Not surprising. I think stock is collapsing and every month AI is better and better. Companies sourcing from stock sites  will be soon an exceptions and not the rule. So I expected this quick slide down. In the good days I was doing 12k monthly. Now first time just 1k. Amazing how this has degraded

cobalt

18 dollars.

But...no uploads for years, so...I have no right to complain.

Is that for all agencies combined or just iStock? Massive decline nonetheless.

nov more than double previous 6 months avg due to dataset payout from SS ( which included other dataset payments) - non-datset sales about 10-20% of previous months

At that time I was exclusive in Photo although i was also sending images to Gettyimages. 12 k every month give or take was 2012 . That was the year they massively hiked prices and many customers went to competition sites. At that time I only had 3000 images in Istock. Now I have 20k and make 1k but I have not uploaded anything for years so that is residual money. Welcome but it is amazing how much t has collapsed. It has to be really tough to make a good salary nowadays from stock

12k with 3000 images is excellent!

How do you achieve these numbers with your portfolio?

I've been uploading to iStock for 4 years. I upload travel photos from Türkiye, where I live, and from about 15 countries I've visited around the world. I have around 17,000 images. Although my income increases every year, it's still quite low. For example, in 2025, I earned only $350 in 11 months. That's a ridiculously low figure. Should I also upload my video archive here? Is just photos not enough?

It looks like many of us are seing the same pattern more uploads, more 'nominal' sales, but less real money. Algorithms micropayments and shifting demand really distort the numbers now. I think its becoming very hard to maintain stable earnings with photos alone without video, diversified content or additional income streams.

looking at weekly (or worse dally) sales is discouraging - i plot a 3 month running average which smooths out the jagged results.

my sales show a drop of about 10% for the current year from the previous 6 months average - and those were preceded with a steady year similar to current

so
                                  <6 month 10% bump.>
  <latest 12 months - >                                    <earlier 12 months about 5% higher than current>

I upload steadily, but had a $20 & $30 sale of 5 & 10 year old images recently.

Want my advice? in all honesty forget video as well, it's all going to sheet.

Your best bet is to concentrate on diversifying your income with something else. Start now or get left behind.
