Title: November earnings down 50%
Post by: michealo on November 29, 2007, 07:31
Though relatively new to iStock, I have noticed my earnings have halved (with a slightly larger portfolio) in November.

It was going ok generally about a sale a day until the best match changes, then mostly nothing

Anyone else experiencing a similar decline.

Exclusivity isn't an option yet as I have just 48 downloads

haven't noticed much change for me, but i wouldn't get too concerned.  A sample size of 58 images is pretty small to draw much conclusions from.

Just another 620 images to catch up to you, but I'm guessing you won't be standing still ;-)

My earnings have been very constant over the last three months. Up about 5-10% each month.

For me, it's less that 10% less than last month (hmmm, that sounded odd).  Still, 2nd best in the past six months.

After sinking sales for 5 consecutive months, I had a BME at IS in October. November seems to be back to old, bad habits again though.  Not sure what to think, but it's still my second best agency ytd.

I'm about where I expected to be at the start of the month - down about 10% from October (my BME).

I used to earn several hundred $$$ per month at IS...now I'm barely making the minimum payout in a month.  It's just been a steady decline since my BME in March.  Don't know what's going on, but I wish it would stop.

Well, this is my first month of having files accepted on Istock. I have 22 images with 46 sales. So far, I am very pleased with their sales performance.

SS, IS.... moving nicely....   DT, BigStock, down dramatically.... 123rf, haven't sold a thing since September.....    everything else... just about normal..  but not even close to a BME. Nothing to write home about.    8)=tom

My iStockphoto account would have been down this month had I not received an EL on Thanksgiving Day. Shutterstock is down, though. However, Bigstockphoto saw a late rally.

I'm not sure what is happening but I am having another record month at IS.  Last month was my best ever and November is exceeding that.  Admittedly, I have been uploading more the last 2 months so maybe that has helped.

Well if it is from November 2007, then I just added my whole portfolio to StockXpert. It seems to be paying off.
