Fourth best month overall with $1.69 RPD for photos and video combined. This is a lower RPD compared to recent months. So not a bad month but not great either.

I am around 50% down compare to October, but almost 300% better so far for all year than years 2021, 2020, 2019 Not really complaining. I hope December will also bring some ,,coins,,

my rpd is 0.79 for everything combined, but I sold very few videos.

I am up 11% over October 2022 and 66% over November 2021.

Basically I started uploading again, so my ports are slowly waking up. Still less than 10% of what I used to make, but I am determined to get it back to part time income status.

Very worried about pond5, my sales have dropped a lot since July and if I get a sale it is for tiny amounts.

Will try to upload to my exclusive account as well, so in 2023 I will have 3 video streams, general non exclusive, content for Blackbox and exclusive content for pond5.

be aware that pond5 match the price,so if you sell a video that is available on other agency at lower price pond5 match that price, maybe this could be the reason of your tiny amounts...

Around 60% down compared to previous month
RPD of 0.42
I was very happy earlier this month to see in content statistics that I sold my first video, but all my happiness is gone
now when I see that the video was sold for 25 cents. Shame on istock. This should not be possible.

not really, i no longer have an account on shutterstock and the other content goes to exclusive places.

most of my videos are on pond5, not officially exclusive, but I am not really bothering to upload elsewhere.

I havent really had significant sales since July. It is very weird.

that's strange,i'm at pond5 since 2012 and my earning is pretty stable..how many clips do you have??do you focus on a niche or shot different kind of subjects??btw i meant that if you have a.video on istock priced at 50 and you sell this video on pond5 they could match istock price...

wds

Having a somewhat similar experience on P5 as well.

@visualab

I havent really uploaded videos to istock in ages, preparing a first batch right now.

I have around 1000 clips on pond5 with a wild mix of content and also a wild mix of prices, including a few mobile phone clips priced really low. But I still had pretty regular sales.

On pond5 there are people with 30 000 clips reporting similar things. Maybe they are streamlining plans with the new owners and halted their marketing efforts for a while.

Most people dont seem to send video to istock, but I know a few people that do and that are satisfied with returns. So will give it a try and in 18 months see where it goes.

Unfortunately istock does not take editorial video, which is usually a good seller for me.

i did try istock as well with few hundreds clips but it's not for me...rpd of 2/3$ is too low in my opinion and i don't want to take the risk of cannibalize my sales on other agencies where they sell for more....

That is the reason I have avoided sending them videos.

But I have friends who are non exclusive with video and have large ports and they shared with me that because istock/ occasionally have some very large sales, it actually gives similar results to Shutterstock.

Then I had one sale where I got 240 dollars and it was a really simple clip.

So I want to try it. I now have two content streams, exclusive content with higher prices and regular non exclusive content and also I upload all my test shots. Which is why my ports dont look so pretty, but the stuff sells.

My main concern is what will happen to pond5 now that Shutterstock owns them. The old Shutterstock was brilliant, but as you can see with the changes made on the dashboard the current team is not too concerned with the needs of producers.

So spreading out and backing more agencies for videos makes sense. Both Adobe and istock will get more non exclusive content and then we see how it goes.

I will try to fill my exclusive port with higher priced content. But if pond5 pays out out 60% for exclusive and at Shutterstock the owners can keep the majority, which sales channel will they favor?

Big increase this month, comfortably BME. An increase of 73.8% over the same month last year. I didn't see that one coming.

P5 also runs very poorly for me.
My exclusive videos even had far less revenue and lower RPD in November than my non-exclusive videos.
I have therefore ended my exclusivity and will upload the videos after the 6-month period also at AS and SS.
At P5 I upload nothing new anymore.
SS is by far the best seller with me.
The revenues at AS are still very modest, but my new account there is only a few weeks old.

Whow, that is very interesting, thank you. I was going to make an effort uploading exclusive content to pond5, but perhaps that is not a good idea anymore if all buyer traffic is being redirected to Shutterstock.

Then it would be better to send exclusive content only to Blackbox because they distribute everywhere.

I am seeing a tiny uptick in AS for video, so there is hope.
