0.72 $ average

Same here. BME for me, too!

That's great !
-
Nice, only the 15th and stats are published already.
I can use that towards the next cash out. 0.94 RPD
Photo Only
-
Wow, didnt expect stats to be published so early.
BME for me as well, with RPD of 0.68, and thats way higher than what I normally get.
-
Yep just squeezed in with a BME at $2.32 RPD which includes photos and video.
-
September was my WME. The downloads were normal, the RPD was abysmal!
But Last month was even worse. October was normal again in terms of downloads. But the RPD has dropped again. Now October is my WME.

Third best month ever and second best month this year. Pretty happy with that.
-
Decent month here and better than October last year, but not as good as I had hoped after having some extremely high view numbers on several images last month.

This is why I don't really care about views. We don't know who, or why, or how they got there. Is it a buyer or just someone looking?
I might guess that if I get views and no sales, that there are better images than mine of similar content.
I could guess that the subject is interesting, but with so many keywords, how do I know that it's not just a mistake for one of the words? I do try to only use direct words that apply and describe, but there are always words that could be for "something completely different". :)
Anyone who relies on always using all the keywords allowed, is going to get more false views?
Now if the sites did, pay per view, I'd be interested. Oh since it's IS maybe that's called Connect?

I mostly agree with you, but 1.) I am very accurate with my keywords and don't spam or misuse keywords 2.) the great number of views were on some of my images that are among my seasonal best-sellers and have sold excessivly around this time last year, so when last year "many views" on certain images translated into "many sales", I don't see a reason to assume it would be different this year and in fact it wasn't. It's not the sale number that's different than what I expected, but the earnings. With iStock's ridiculous 0.02$ sales 100 sales of an image could end up earning you only 2$.
So, yes, at least in my case, many views did lead directly to many sales. It just did not lead to the expected earnings. But, as said, it was still a good month for me.
-
24 dollars regular sales, but 31 from connect.
I am starting to upload to istock again, let's see if I can wake up my port. It is amazing that I am still selling anything because I hardly uploaded for 10 years.
The returns for video are very depressing, but a few months ago I had one higher sale.
Maybe in time it will improve.

Strong month at iStock. Happy with the progress.

I wish I could say the same for the month, but I understand the rest. Maybe I should check views. I don't even know how or where.
I don't spam either, maybe I use too few words. My general disdain for views is what we don't know about that data. Sure after the fact, sometimes, they will correlate. I can't say that if I saw many views on an image, that I'd expect a specific number that would equal a sale.
Remember that from the old days? :) "How many views does it take to make a sale."
No Kidding Connect: my third most downloaded image, 0.00$, 65, iStock Editorial. That's too low for the calculator to find a cent? The one above it is much better... 0.15$, 71, iStockphoto. (not really) No I'm not a fan of Connect.
Happy Sales!

Where do I see views for iStock? I looked on DM, last showing there is from April. I looked on IS, I can't seem to see where I can find that information? (https://i.postimg.cc/0224DbbJ/help-sos.gif)
And yes, I might get as many downloads, but they could be connect, for pennies of what they used to be. (https://i.postimg.cc/G3Fxr9z8/barrel-50-color.gif)

Thank You, recent activity! Shows last 30 days, and that's what we get? I suppose, now I need to look and see how many views = a Download? (just a joke, 1 could be a winner and 29 could mean nothing) But at least I can see what might be being viewed for download.
THANKS

Actually Deep Meta was working in the same manner because it was the same information. You would see the views and interactions dissapearing after a (running) month but it did keep the last view or interaction date, as I remember correctly.

Still there, except the last update was April 2022. Yes it showed Views last 30 days and Interactions last 30 days. Also last view and last interaction.
I'll have to see if there's any reliable relationship with that and sales. On Alamy, the views aren't always registered and people get sales with no view. Back to, entertaining but not reliable. Some days I think that all this watching and studying doesn't make a difference, because the buyers will download what they want of what they see and could be viewing 100 files, to find the one they need.

You know my port is not that big, pretty small even, but I have views that have no sales and sales that have no views and also naturally views that have sales. Sometimes there are months with relative many views and low sales and vice versa. There will be some correlation somewhere (maybe it depends if the sales come from Istock or Getty and maybe views are only from Istock or so) but I agree that getting to the bottom of it will not make a difference. Although, the pictures that get more views tend to have, in the end, more sales.
Happy to hear if you find some logic in it. My port, as said, is to small to discover any relevance.
