LOL, All that waiting for $0.28  :o.

What a joke. At least they didn't claw back Nov or Oct. Although who knows how much I was "supposed" to make in December.

Did I mention, "what a joke"?

According to the PP thread over there, they're currently on 2nd Dec, so it's apparently not over yet.

That still may happen unless I am missing something.  I didn't see anything saying that clawbacks were completed.

Yes, I see that. I didn't realize they did it like that. I figured they update the whole month at the same time. Shows how much I've ever paid attention to the PP.

FWIW I'm up to a whopping $0.56 now  ::)

I didn't see anything that clawbacks were started.
Allegedly, those affected were supposed to get emails first, and I haven't read that they've gone out.
"We will be sending the affected contributors email notifications of the total amount over paid as well as a recoupment schedule in the very near future. " Lobo, 9th Jan, but that'll be an iStock time indication. In fact, in the same updated post (top of the overpayment thread) he specified "We will be sending email notifications to the impacted contributors in the next week", which, as it was posted 9th Jan is well past the indicated date.

Hey you might get lucky. Maybe the difficulties and expense of clawing back the money will be more than the money they lose, so you might get to keep it (pigs might fly!).
Woteva, seems they're still on Dec 2nd.

But it's only the 28th!!

What probably happened is the IT Manager's hairpiece fell off and when he bent over to pick it up, his butt flicked the PP switch on - they just haven't noticed it yet.

PP December is on the 3rd now....I'm so surprised to receive any money. I wonder what is going to happen next: they take it back as a "repossesion" for their october mess? Where is that email they were about to send out two weeks ago?

For me I doubt it.  My PP sales were up by roughly $400, so I expect a clawback of $400. Man that is the epitome of incompetance.

I'll watch and see, I didn't get the notice or deleted it without reading. Shows how much I care about spam from agencies.

But I have a bunch of purple bars, no little green ones, which translated means, Getty Image DLs are through for the whole month for me, not one PP from TS?

I don't post numbers but fact is, I could go to Wendy's for some chili and a chocolate malt thing, get change back. Whoo Hoo big celebration.  ::)

Honestly I'm saving my Micro payments for an 8MM lens right now. Couple more months and I'll have that for night sky time-lapse shooting. (no not suitable for Microstock as usual, I just want to do it.)

You mean no sales on Istock itself  for those days? Seems pretty normal to me.  Week between Christmas and New Years is always dead. I got a few sales, but less than on a typical Saturday.

I sell images on other sites too but none of them remained "as quiet" as IStock...

No. I had only 9 Istock (non PP sales), 2 of them on Dec 26th.

About PP sales, it seems to me strange that I have 9 sales in the first 8 days of December and none at all after.

My 'good' month is almost entirely due to just two 'exceptional' days. Is there a way to see what was actually downloaded in PP? It all seems very dark and mysterious to me. Maybe there were a couple ELS .... a stolen credit card ......  or something.....

My month was just okay, which I figured would happen with the Christmas dropoff. However, I also have two exceptional days...18 and 19. I didn't make that many more sales those days, but my earnings were much higher.

And now I'm back to wondering if those two days are wrong or if the other 29 are purposely under-reported.

I hope you've read that November was a mistake? I noticed that a few people on the PP thread over there don't seem to know this and are wondering why their PP dls are down from Nov. (Didn't see many of them wondering why they had one aberrant good month).

I think he means it was down on the November chart bar, not on the earnings reported in November. It was the October chart bar that was screwed up, not the November one.  But December is always down, so much of it is given over to holidays in the West.

In fact the Dec. sales were worse than August when I had hardly half the photos I do now in PP.

Well, if it's any comfort, I also had two very good days, but they were different days (16th & 17th).  My 18th and 19th sales were just average.

Overall the PP totals are about what I would have expected for December.  Nothing out of the ordinary.

Strange, I expected that they would do the December reporting and the October Clawback simultaneously.  The way they do it now (report December first), we are able to cash in December PP + January Sales ... or at least we are able to submit a payment request BEFORE we know how much they'll take back.

I did well with two very good days on the 16th/17th which seems to be a peak period judging by feedback in this thread. Anybody else see an uptick between the 16th - 19th?

The vast majority of my sales through the PP are always subs.  The only deviations from that were October, and late Sept.  And turns out those were a mistake.

You can't really compare PP to Shutterstock.  SS is vastly more popular and has devoted a lot of time and energy to beefing up their non-subscription offerings.

PP in December was significantly higher than usual for me, though less than October's reported PP earnings. Depending on the amount of the clawback, it could be my BME for the PP.
Regular earnings this January are slightly above average.

It certainly could have been; but Getty360 arrives in your balance at the GI update, not the PP update, though it shows green not purple on your bars.
Don't ask me why.

I'm not sure if anybody 'gets it'. I may well have got the first one, $50 several months back. Nobody here could understand it (I'm not in the PP), and when I wrote to CR, they didn't understand it until they'd checked with Getty. The following month, I saw questions about it on the iS forum, and the mods there had to check.
Typical: keep your own staff ignorant, far less the contributors.
