I'm seeking a way to keep my real name from appearing on my istock images. On 123rf.com this is handled with a single selection in the account management.

istock says on your profile "This information is private and for admin use only. " but it seems to automatically appear under the copyright info on every image I upload.

Does anyone know how to turn it off?

And, before you start, please let's not change the subject of this thread to *why* I want it turned off, just let me know if anyone knows how. Thanks.

When you open "control panel" you'll see a sort of drop down menue called "contributor", and there you'll see "real name". You just switch that to "member name".

Thanks, but I did that a year ago, it still puts my real name in the copyright field.

It's likely the only way to resolve it is to call them first thing tomorrow morning. Many people checked the opt-out of partner programs in the control panel and it did not seem to make a difference...perhaps they are having problems with the whole control panel thing working correctly?

I just tried it and it worked. I was looking for that awhile back too, so thanks.

When I look at your portfolio, I see your username, not your real name.

It's still in the page source, so it shows up on google image searches -- it comes from the copyright field, which auto populates with my name.

I do not think that it is on the page source - just look at any image page. Most probably Google crawled some of your images _before_ you toggled showing of username

I looked at the source for both your main profile page and an image page and couldn't find any real names.

What already is in Google will be there for many time.
