Title: Question for IStockers
Post by: dbvirago on August 14, 2007, 17:32
I asked this on another forum and didn't get much, so I thought I would try here.

I have an old image on istock (and others) that has been a steady producer. For the two or three weeks it has been selling an unusual amount on istock. I've looked around and can't find a reason for it. I know they have lightboxes, but they don't appear to be similar to SS lightboxes which really bump the sales. Can't find it in any of the lightboxes I have looked at. Not near enoudh sales to be close to the top of a most popular sort.

any ideas? this can't be coincidence, but I can't discover what is driving the sales. It would be nice to know. thanks

Have this strange feeling, it's just a bit of good luck..  take it and run my friend

cheers.

Can you post a link to the image? Is it maybe a Christmas image? Or a picture of Karl Rove? Or a bridge over the Mississippi?

I was at the KC vs. Twins game when the bidge went down. I was in Minn. on vacation. I couldn't bring myself to go take photos of it though. We all thought it was going to be much worse than it was. Thank god that half the lanes were closed (weird that they were repaving the surface instead of fixing the structure).

No complaints! If I did anything to cause this, I want to do it again LOL.

Nothing timely in the image. Karl Rove jumping off a bridge with a Christmas tree.

Seriously, it's a simple background image.

Don't think it's luck  Sold 1/3 of my total sales in the first month on SS when I uploaded it to all sites back in February. Sold the same number in the last 2 weeks on IStock.

Ah well, best not jynk it.
