Title: Questions about MR at iStock
Post by: PrecariousPosition on June 24, 2008, 14:03
Hey everyone,

Quick questions about MR's at iStock. I uploaded my first people pictures a few days ago and several were accepted but they found my standard company model release to be unaceptable. A bit of an annoyance seeing as I even went through the trouble to print of and attach a headshot to each one and everyone else has taken them without complaint. I've been looking on iStock for the bare minimum of info that must be included but I must be looking in the wrong spots because I can't find it. Could someone please tell me what I have to add to my MR form? Heres what I currently have:

Photographers Name:
Date and Location:

Model Name:
Models Phone:
Models Address:
Models City:
Models Country:
Models Signature:

Witness Name/Date/Signature:

I'm guessing they want more information about me? I dont know why that would be since they have a full account on me including my SIN number.

Anyhow, any help would be appreciated so I can fix the isue as soon as possible.

I used to use the Istock Release, then scan it and replace the logo and country specific text in PhotoShop for the other sites.

Now I would create a new release based on thier text and send it to member services for confirmation of fitness of use.

You need everything that is on iStock's model release, that is the bear minimum. The best approach is to use iStock's model release and photoshop all the mentions of iStock off of it. The iStock release is accepted by all the other sites (as long as you have edited out mentions of iStock).

Well thats bloody annoying.

I guess I'll have to do that though. It's a little to much info for my liking.
