I have two files waiting for inspection on istock. Upload date 11/29/09. Anyone experience anything this long before?
-
They must have been overlooked. I would contact support.

You'd be better off cancelling it and re-uploading.
The iStock best match has a 'DLs/month' component, and that statistic uses the upload date, not the approved date. If your image gets approved it will have a horrible initial best match placement.

I have 5 in the q since 12/29/09 but have had 5 that were uploaded on 1/13/10 already approved. Right around that time they were having issues with thumbnails not showing. I think mine got lost somehow as well, even though they show in My Uploads and have a number assigned to them (and the thumbnail shows). I sent a message to support yesterday, I'll wait and see what they say. If I don't hear back on Monday, I will cancel and reupload. They are in DeepMeta, so no big deal to re-q.

Yeah, that's pretty much where mine are going to go anyway.

Very true. I would still try to contact support though, to ask for the date to be changed for the average upload date that day.
But still, if it's a winter image, it just suck now

Wow, sharply_done, I never even thought about it from this point.
Thx for hint.
There is also a possiblity that you could have a good review board on your side for "ignoring" your pending items, so you can delete them and re-eyeball the work.
I remember way back a long time ago, the same thing happened to me with StockXpert .
I had a good approval ratio, and then for certain batch of work , a few were approved immediately
while the others were sort of "forgotten". I deleted them, double checked on the images
and reuploaded them and they were approved.
May have been a coincidence, but maybe not . But with sharply_done 's idea,
it sure wouldn't hurt to double check, and reupload.

I have one uploaded on 03/12/2009 and still pending. It's funny, I am sure it is a glitch.

Yes. If it's not showing "Pending Executive", you should report all images staying longer than two weeks in the queue to Contributor Support.

While this is certainly generally true, new files aren't getting good placement in the current best match (even with its enormous daily yoyoing) - or it's just for literally a few hours then sinks off the first 100 pdq.

Don't fix it, make a screen shot, you could hold a record of some sort? ;D Longest time for a review, over one year and counting.
