Title: redeem credit
Post by: Julied83 on October 20, 2015, 07:25
Hello ! We all know that redeem credit system is bad, but I had a closer look this morning. I made a lot of vector sales thoses weeks. But look at the chart ! Can it be more impossible to achieve ? I was away from Istock forum since it was move to getty. I wonder if they plan to makes somes change about that. In my dream they bring back the canister level but it's never gonna be reality.

See iStock's forum for the most recent official comment on RCs.

Some time ago all vector contributors were set at the 20% level. That means RC's have become pretty much irrelevant.

If iStuck changes the RC plan it will only be to introduce something much worse. They never makes changes that help us make more money, only new ways to take away more. Look at their history.

I saw nothing about RC on istock/getty forum, honestly I'm really not used to go to getty forum anymore. That's why I ask this question here.

Sorry, we're not allowed to quote from there. I guess I can say it's in the one month subs plan thread in the discussion forum.

Did I miss this? When did this happen? Is this an ironic comment relating to the prevalence of subs, or is it purporting to be true? ( which it isn't)

Thanks ShadySue, When you are not used to use the new forum, it'S hard to find everything. I still don't find anything about the RC and anything related to Subs there. Nevermind, I don't have time to lose on this new forum. I didn't knew that it was top secret and we can't talk about that here.  :-X  creepy

It's not a joke, check the illustrator tab:

http://www.istockphoto.com/help/sell-stock/rate-schedule (http://www.istockphoto.com/help/sell-stock/rate-schedule)

There were a few changes for illustrators in July 2013, the 20% change was one of them. The newsletter said:

"Upload Limit Increases

We have raised upload limits for illustrations and you can now submit 999 files per week.

Vector Royalty Rate Increases

We have increased the non-Exclusive royalty rates to a flat 20% royalty (formerly 15%-20% depending on your sales). We have also raised the base Exclusive royalty rate from 25% up to 30%."

OK, yes, you are talking non-exclusive, I misunderstood.
