Thanks for taking part.

I must add: since the RC status seems to broken (much like everything else in IS) it is a bit difficult to estimate for some.
I don't even have a clue to whaqt date the current RC's are updated to.

The whole purpose of the RC system is to ensure that most people don`t make it (Bell Curve distribution). It`s like going to Vegas to beat the house, it ain`t gonna happen for most.

I think it's possible to reach %30 or even %35 (if you upload like crazy and if you have certain amount of vetta/agency) for exclusives. It's almost impossible beyond that, I guess.

No point in uploading right now, as new acceptances aren't being moved into ports and are unsearchable.
But hey, the queue has gone down below 50,000.

Yep, no problemo. True though, ofcourse they dont want us to make it, all part of the robbing scheme.

Nah! its an IS, exclusive/indie poll. The new scheme, when indies reach 90% towards their RC,  they can draw the same benefits from it as exclusives. Wake up boyo!

Well, I'll keep 16% this year, but since sales are a thing of the past I won't be making it next year that's for certain.

It was looking iffy, but I finally reached my RC goal within the past week, so I will stay where I am.

The bad news for me is that unless they lower the targets, I won't keep my 18% for 2012. The good news is that a 1% royalty rate drop for a site whose declining sales look to be increasingly irrelevant to my monthly totals isn't so drastic an event. And who knows, perhaps the PP will be a barn buster and I'll make it up there :)

Dropping to 30% it looks like. Partly my fault for not uploading much this year. C'est la vie - next year I guess, if the site isn't a smoking pile of ashes that is.

Hard to say, since IS has a track record of changing the rules.

It's almost a six percent drop in what you get paid for each DL, of course.

Looks like Ill be dropping from 19% to 18%, which is very sad.  Currently sitting on 130,000, so I doubt I can make it to 150,000.  That would certainly add insult to injury after the decline in traffic/sales this year.

When I see those 12 cent royalties (admitedly not all that often, although I only spot check every now and then), 28 cents per would be an increase :)

If there genuinely has been a decline in sales this year (which most of the available evidence suggests) then they should reduce the targets accordingly. Not only that but, as an independent, you've had to cope with your images being far lower down the best match sort-order than their sales should warrant. Istock have presumably had to take that action in an attempt to hang on to their exclusive contributors __ again due to falling sales.

You've done your bit and it is only the agency's actions that have caused you to fall short. I guess we'll soon see how honourable Istock are with regard to the RC targets.

While I completely agree with your post, I think we already know how honorable Istock (or to be fair, Getty) is, with regard to RC targets, and pretty much everything else.   :P

My thoughts exactly, but I couldn't express them as well as you have (especially since it's morning here and I haven't had a coffee yet...) :)

I was trying to remain open-minded in my opinion of them! I think this will actually be an interesting test of Istock and in particular of Rebbecca. Will she admit to falling sales and modify the RC targets accordingly ... or will she just keep schtum and have her profit figures enhanced instead?

A couple of months ago it looked like a sure thing that I would go up a level.  Highly doubtful now.

If there genuinely has been a decline in sales this year (which most of the available evidence suggests) then they should reduce the targets accordingly

Assuming that they want to maintain the % share in 2012 that they have in 2011. If they want to increase their share to compensate them for not selling so much, then all they have to do is leave the targets where they are and allow falling sales to erode people's percentages.

As we've been told, the wonderful thing about the credit system is that it rewards people for current merit rather than past glories, so any newbie can get up to the Arcurs level if they just make the effort to produce what iS wants. It follows that if anybody hasn't maintained their level it is not iStock's fault for not making sales, it is the artist's fault for not working hard enough.

Watch out for changes to the Arcurs level as, if announced, the reduction will tell us just how much his sales have fallen by  ;D

Looks like the situation is not so bad as the majority will keep the current level or even go up inspite of decline in sales reported in monthly threads... Anyway hope they will reduce the targets according to the sales volume ;)

I'm very concerned... I've been at 40% since May of 2009. Last year I had around 125,000 RCs and kept my 40%. This year, I'll end with between 145,000-148,000 RCs (give or take a thousand), it will take something close to a Christmas miracle for me to break 150,000.

And some basic math will show that I stand to lose quite a bit of $ unless they adjust the targets or that Christmas miracle happens.
