What is a regular sale? $1.38 small or $1.30 medium or $1.12 XXL?

With unused subs now rolling over, added to the small 'subs packages', few buyers now would benefit by buying credit bundles as opposed to any of the subs bundles.

It is just demoralising. All of our credit sales are being converted to subs. Long live iStock! iStock lives!

I feel so sad about the decline in istock that I don't even bother uploading there anymore.  I don't even check my stats there more than about once every 6 months.  Too depressing !!

That place is such a quagmire these days, honestly, I'm glad to be free of it.

I think what they did to you was actually my last straw with them.  I've left my port there for now but don't give them my new content.

The only good news with istock in the last few years was when they automated the payments.  Now I don't have to go there at all.  I left them all my low selling images and get a payment once in a while, really can't be bothered deactivating or leaving.

Istock is a big mess and they really don't know how to get out of this hole. Now they are targeting to destroy their exclusives relegating their work at the end of the searches. I am only waiting the day that Stocksy and Adobe accept editorial ...that will be my goodbye kiss to the crown.

Even with a bigger portfolio now, my sales are at 40% of what they used to be. So sad.

Yes. Exclusives are going under the bus. At the lower end of subs the royalty difference between indi and exclusives is 25 cents. I have an image that sold once as regular sale, got $12+ dollars and the same day it sold in subs for 75 cents (plus a mystery amount added at sometime, somewhere, if you can work out the CSV doc, I can't).

i can't understand how exclusives can stay there... they are treated like idiots
at least in shutterstock we get peanuts but we are all at the same level

The problem with dropping the crown now is that they have to compete with the 800,000 new images being uploaded to SS every week and older images have better search placement.  It must be very hard for new people joining SS now.

From msg, it seems as though it's very hard for new people joining anywhere now.
(OTOH, maybe the successful people are out there making images of the new niches customers want, and not on here like me.)

And yet other comments on MSG complain about SS giving preference to new contributors in order to increase their (SS) profit margins.  I would also think it would be very difficult for newcomers to break into the industry ... but that doesn't seem to dissuade the conspiracy theorists.  And it certainly doesn't seem to be slowing down new contributors (mostly hobbyists and the like).  How long they stay ... that's another matter.

Now that month is done. 2016 regular sales, half of 2015. Actual 41% of 2015.

They automated payments and i think refunds too. Last months all what was sold was then deducted from my balance. Their behavior is not trustable at all. All refunds happen exactly in moment when balance exceeded payout sum, no matter in beginning of month or end. The total become again less than payout. Correlation is 100%!
