I've just had a couple of these for images highly topical regarding the EU UK at the moment.
It says not to resubmit. But there used to be an appeal type system - maybe the reviewer in whever-it-was didn't understand the images?
OK - it won't make me rich one way or the other. But looks like a missed opportunity for my pics....
Any thoughts?

Just resubmit as new.  But I must say that Istock accepts everything nowadays, so maybe you might consider looking at your images closely if they are being rejected.

I'm happily "missing" out on that pathetic 16% on everything I have created since January 2015.  For a company like Getty to be keeping 85% of the sales of any artist's work is simply shameful IMHO.

There is an appeal system Scout that you get to through messaging them.  you can only only ask 3 per month.

Were they rejected for technical reasons or copyright issues?  Istock is very strict on copyright issues, even in editorial submissions at times.

There is a balance between accepting everything and accepting only images with a certain look that automatically kicks out artistic images that, egads,  have shadows, intentional motion blur etc.  While the review process, I assume, is supposed to help the client by guaranteeing quality, I am so bored by some of these sites where a lot of the images all look the same.   Accepting all leaves it more up to the client to choose but it does allow for more artistic imagery which is a plus in other ways.

All images are going through - just all illos get dumped. I don't do many illos - so I'm not crying that much - but it is just irritating!

I find them incredibly picky on captioning of Editorials so much so I decided it wasn't worth the grief. Also can be very fussy on Property Releases.

I feel your pain. Not accepting city/country/date in upper case is bad enough, but I'm having absolute nightmares with them at the moment with some shots I took in Hawaii. They've rejected captions with "city, state" and "city, country" in the last few days, and the rejection notice doesn't say what's wrong. At one time I would have raised a ticket and got to the bottom of it but now I just think, stuff them... those images will sell just fine for me on Shutterstock.

Similar problems I had a whole batch of concepts but once the rejections started rolling in for "copyright blah blah" I just deleted the entire remaining batch and said screw them.

As to the copyright rejection reason it was total BS as I pointed out to them on a support ticket.

I can't be bothered arguing with them. It's not my problem if they employ dolts to do the reviewing.

unless you are exclusive there, life is too short for resubmission.
