hi there,
first of all this is a great forum and much better than some of the controlled once from the big players :)
so here is my question. is it possible to replace a originla file in istock with a new better and cleaner one. the thing is that i have a pretty sucessful image but today i see my bad isolation an composition from earlier days :)
thx for the help in advance!

No, you can't on Istock, only Stockxpert allow this! :-\
Maybe you could send a support ticket to change one file at istock...
-
No way on IS,
you have to Deactivate it and resubmit again.
bye!

Send an email to artists (at) istockphoto, attach the better version of the image and put "Replacement request for file #xxx" in the subject...
New image will have to be inspected manually, that's why it shouldn't be overused.
Best regards,
Michael
Sidenote: With site specific requests, I'd be sure you would get a faster correct answer in the site forums. Keep cross-site discussions and "blame the best match" threads here, of course. ;-)

does the first one sell?
I'd try to put the 2nd one on, with in description 'replacement for image number xx', then in the description of the first one, put 'better version of this image here' with thumbnail.

Disregard other answers and listen to MJ, above.

I've done this several times with no problems. They are always happy to exchange for the better file. :)
