Strange week for me with istock.  20 downloads on Tuesday, 9 yesterday and zero so far today.  Perhaps the sales aren't updating because this is very unusual for me.

I did get a lot of sales on BS and StockXpert yesterday.  I wonder if buyers have realized the difference in prices and gone to the cheaper sites?

I had about 8 downloads at BigStock yesterday. All at 0.5$, but OK. This never happened before.

LOL.  I've had 6 all month.  I used to get cashouts there too.  What did I do to offend the BS buyers?

I asked them about the slowdown they replied it was slow since the holidays. Apparently BS customers are rich and can allow themselves extended vacations.

Regardless of the slowdown in sales (that I also see), do buyers prefer the smaller sizes now anyways? Not getting any L DLs any more. The only party benefitting from this price hike is IS. It certainly is not me or the buyers. Featurepics is clearly picking up for me.

Not for me. The size and number of my downloads hasn't changed, only how much I get for them. I think the size of the downloads is highly dependent on what you actually photograph.

Same downloads for me since price change, between 6 and 9 by day.
But earnings are raising with L and XL downloads!

BigStock is doing better for me too(at least for this month). As for iStockphoto, they're doing okay. A lot of older images are selling, with just a few newer ones being bought as well.

IS is my top performer this month and it is already a BME for me.as for BS it is also doing fine in a modest way and my BME there  as well but elsewhere slower  especially my sales on StockXpert has been declining significantly  for the past two or three months.

Not an outstanding month at IS, but not a bad one either, speaking of $.  In terms of dlds, I think they have decreased, with the higher earnings/image compensating the difference.

Maybe I don't understand. Do I'm wrong to think that the price have increased but the credits are also more cheaper?

I hit a peak of downloads in May of 2006 at IS on a portfolio that was about 1/4 the size it is now. Hard to believe. I think that was before there 1 million images on line.  Earnings have gone up with the price increases. My BME in terms of money was January 2007. This month, downloads are up a little over the past couple of months, so are earnings.

I can't see the old prices anymore, but I think not. See this old thread.

No slowdown in DL but significant increase in $$, so far 15% more than previous BME (Nov 2007) with 4 weekdays left for January.

Istock jumped to 46% of my microstock income for January. Needless to say Im happy with the price adjustments.

My sales at IS were down by 34% from Dec 2006 to Dec 2007.  That is with adding more than 1,000 new images.

The price increases have disguised the losses.  Didn't realize how bad sales were dragging there until I did the math for this thread.  How depressing!

I could live with a small decrease in downloads if the overall $$ earnings were up. However in IS case, for me, although $$ were down less than downloads for all of 2007, they both showed a decrease over 2006.

I only added about 350 images during the year, but still the portfolio was larger.

Other sites, fortunately, did better, so overall 2007 was up over 2006...

January 2008 probably will be less good ($$ and DL) than Jan 2007 at IS - yes, depressing!
