I thought Pipe Band was in the CV as a keyword phrase, but it turns out that it isn't. Trying it without quotes leads to loads of image with pipes in them but no 'band' in their keywords. Weird enough.
I then searched "Pipe Band" in quotes, and as I my previous search had been on dls, that was the sort I got. All well and good. Then I changed to Best Match, and I went back to the pipe, band results (FF):

So I tried again, not logged in, in IE. This time the default sort was best match, and I got expected results. Switch to downloads, and it goes back to pipe, band:

Try bagpipes + band. 'Pipes' is too broad and covers too many options for Istock's hopeless CV.

I was really more concerned about the search changing between sorts.
That's not normal behaviour.
("Pipe Band" isn't in the CV, but it just happened to be what I was looking at when I searched.)

I wouldn't worry about that! Just be grateful that the site's not still down.

OK, not the worst case scenario.  ;)
However, it's doing exactly the same for other non CV phrases orginally searched for in quotations.

Similar to where is the 'band' coming from if you search pipe band without quotes and you get a search apparently on pipe and band (splits in the left hand box) but without pipe.

I did a different search on a single CV word then ticked 'photos'. There were a lot of raster images and 3D images there, which is their system. Wanting to look on photos only, I added 'photograpy (image) as a search term. Nothing changed, so I clicked on some of the 3Ds and raster illos, and again not one of them had the keyword 'photograph (image)' [1].

So there is something wrong with a second word added to the search for at least some searches) or 'apparently added to' a search in quotes if the search order is changed).

Later: [1] it doesn't happen every time.

This is an example of Information Entropy.
A real danger to microstock.
