Title: Strange submitted keywords with StockSubmitter on iStock ESP
Post by: sewu on May 10, 2017, 03:18
Hello,

I was just wondering about iStock ESP on StockSubmitter. I added this agency to StockSubmitter and uploaded some files. The Upload worked but when I log in to ESP the photos seem to have other keywords/tags than entered in StockSubmitter and often completely wrong and misleading. It could even be considered to be offending.

For example: I have one photo with two pigs on Bali and entered keywords like "pigs; pig; pork; mud; nusa penida; nusa; penida; bali; indonesia; indonesian; animals; animal; ..." in the StockSubmitter Software.

Now, in ESP I find other keywords for the very same photo like "Indonesia fashion week; kitchen supply; minister of Economics; bread type; former soviet union; Trash 2014 - Film"

Any idea why this happens? Did I forget anything etc?

Thanks for any replies/ideas :)

Did you do the matching with the iStock ESP terms in the Advanced keyword editor in StockSUbmitter. This is where you match the keywords you entered wiht the controlled vocabulary in ESP?

Steve

PS - I wrote about how to do it here: http://www.backyardsilver.com/2017/02/stock-submitter-istock-esp-new-alamy-supertags/ (http://www.backyardsilver.com/2017/02/stock-submitter-istock-esp-new-alamy-supertags/)

No I didn't do the matching... Now, I know. Still a bit disturbing though how the keywords were changed to totally strange words which doesn't make sense at all. Could have just been blank etc. Anyways...next time. Hope I can get the photos deleted again as this seems to be not that easy on i Stock as well. But I wrote them and asked if they could delete the whole batch.

Thank you very much for the tip and also the link :)
