i am a newbie in istock and obviously non-exclusive. Usually my files take around a week before they will be reviewed. However, i uploaded some files yesterday and it was reviewed in 24 hours! That's really really fast!

Hmm.. maybe a lot of people stopped uploading? Haha!

Mine are right on track.  Last batch reviewed in 5 days.

I think you just got lucky.  Congrats :)

Perhaps it was a vector? Those have been very fast the last few days.

I uploaded two vectors yesterday and both were reviewed today - I've never had reviews that quickly before  ;D

Lets hope they keep it up!

There currently appear to be no separate queues for exclusive and independent contributors at istock - both groups are getting photos approved slowly, with waits of about a week for all, but the vector queue appears to be moving fast for everyone. There currently appear to be no tangible advantages apart from upload limits (which i don't need) and the percentage (whcih is easy to make up on other sites) to being exclusive.

Yeah, the exclusive perk is that all the exclusive inspectors got to go to Malta.  ::)

i've got some which have been in the queue for over 10 days.  went exclusive with istock recently.  had one good week and since then i am worse off than when i was non exclusive.  on top of that, i know everyone says istock inspectors always get things right, but i have had the most  spurious and inconsistent rejections over the last four weeks.  in addition, it seems that my poorest images fly through, but those which would be in competition with the top downloads are thrown out.  i wouldn't mind but when i see some of the images that are displayed on the home page.....

uuhh, ohhh, what a nice comment about going exclusive at istock... :o...what is the correct term in English (michealo, I need your help again...)..... "negative advertising"?

Interesting post ..... without any istock account info......

There are plenty of posts discussing the recent non-existence of the exclusive queue on istock forums. You can verify yourself by comparing the recent upload dates on the two queues. (If you can manage to get the pages to load, that is.) They just announced that they are "working on it".

I'm soooooo relieved.  ::)

As to the rejections, can't help you there.

10 out of 130 inspectors were in Malta. That is a fact. That's (calculator action...) less than 10% of the Inspection team. I'm not sure Malta works into it.

I would just like a better explanation.

I understand, Lobo. But when there is a clear disparity between the timeliness of inspections, and it is skewed in an opposite direction than what it is supposed to be, and istock is not forthcoming with any reasons as to why that may be, it gets to be quite frustrating.

It is one thing to say that ALL inspections are backed up. However, when non-exclusives are coming through before exclusives, then I think we deserve some kind of explanation other than the crickets that have taken over the exclusive forum.
I'm not debating your points. I'm debunking the Malta relation.
