Title: Survey
Post by: elvinstar on July 06, 2011, 13:32
Did anyone else have to log in when they got to iStock and then have to fill out a buyer survey or is it just me?

yes I did.  I don't buy there anymore so I just selected the "I'm coming here to be a contributor" choice or something like that.  :)

Same here.  Perhaps now they will notice that they have lost a lot of their buyers?  Seems like a strange survey because I would of thought they would have data on who is buying and who is uploading.

Come on, how could iStock know whether you are buyer or a contributor. These days with the amounts of data occurring on the internet, it's almost impossible to figure stuff like that.  ::) Cut them some slack.

A survey page popped up but I got past it somehow. Can't remember what I did. I did think that maybe they had noticed they had a bit of a problem, but then I'm sure they do customer survey stuff regularly.

The survey came up when I tried to log in this morning. I thought it was probably another bug, so I closed the survey window and clicked Log In again. It said I was already logged in. That essentially ignored the survey.

It's not a bad idea to figure out what's going on with site visitors, but giving buyer questions to contributors suggests this isn't the most carefully targeted effort. I've never once purchased a credit (or converted any earnings to credits) so I can't see that I register as any sort of buyer.

Same here. I also wondered why they need to ask this.

It popped up when I logged in a couple of days ago, and I think there was a button that said something like "not now". So that's what I clicked. Haven't seen it since.

I did the exact same thing.  Click X, not logged in? Already logged in.  Whatever...
