Using mid interval values and the base for the highest position the average IS exclusive payout on a small sample size of 13 is $2042

This is the best advertising IS could wish for...

In the 2010 microstockgroup survey, IS exclusives were averaging $2615 per month so this looks like things have gone down by nearly 20%.  April is a slower month though so maybe it's not so bad.  http://blog.microstockgroup.com/microstock-income-vs-portfolio-size/

Still no info on 2011 though as far as I know.

That is not comparing like with like, not sure of the survey methodology but it may be recording actual values for monthly income.

Here I am using mid interval values except for the highest value where I used the base value.

With 34 users I am seeing an average of $2251 but this is potenetially significantly underestimating the high earners actual earnings.

It really says more about which exclusives visit this site than about what people can realistically expect to earn there.

Yeah, right. I'd love to crack the $1000/mth by years end. I'd have to give up my day work to realistically reach that average sum though! But it is possible so it is a kind of incentive to see those figures.

Of course, if you and new starts were able to do this, the pie would be more thinly shared and the average would go down.

True. I'm sure that's exactly what's happening. Anyways, those pesky indies have been keeping pretty quiet recently - and my earnings dropped this month. Time for a best match change I think. That will bump my average I'm sure :)

Indies have the upper hand in all of my best match searches - whether that's just in the UK, I couldn't possibly say. That, combined with two exclusive price hikes inside two months indicates something.

When I don't hear the indies moaning and whinging I worry LOL

Well, lets hope it doesn't indicate anything too bad for us!

True. However I'd like if they matched our prices accordingly, meaning XS would be selling at 2 cr and P+ XS at 4 cr. And 1 cr up for S files in case of P+ if I'm not mistaken. And yes, no more 2 cr discount on our XXXL files.

Don't worry, it's just that our sales have been so low for so long that we've come to terms with it. Despite being well placed in best match at the moment, I've only had two sales so far today. It's pathetic.

Feel better now?

Well I'm still whinging.  If there is a best match for indies right now, I'm not benefiting from it.  Sales at IS still very low for me.

My earnings went up after the 22nd, but the increase was subtle. Of course I'm too lazy to check placements of my files in search...So I too don't really believe the best match is favouring us heavily. At least nothing close to how it always was for exclusive files and also A/V for a long period of time
