Hello,

Anybody using a key-wording service? Currently I'm using KeedUp in Norway.  I'd like to check some of their keywords against another vendor. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I think keedup is in new zealand (not that I think it matters).

pdn did a comparison of 5 services, somehow I got to via google, but now I cant find it and if i go to pdn i just get the you must subscribe.  (they didnt use either keedup or the other one mentioned).

I found a bit of the article here
http://www.allbusiness.com/retail-trade/miscellaneous-retail-retail-stores-not/4453432-1.html

I would be very interested to hear what you think of both of these as i am thinking of starting to use such a service later in the year.

If you are a contributor of DT, I believe that you can also use their keywording service.

But then you have to wait a few months before you can see the keywords they used.  I haven't read their terms, so I am not sure you can copy and paste them to other images of a series (if you wait that long).

I thought that they had changed the keywording service to allow the contributor to see the keywords.  I could be wrong, since I have never used the system.  Maybe someone else can add some information to this.

You are correct. At least, the last time I used the service (which was probably 6 months ago), the keywords were visible as soon as the image was in my port.

I've found the keyworders are generally pretty good, but I have had a couple that I had to complain about. Overall I've decided I can usually come up with about the same number of relevant keywords (if not always the same ones), so I no longer use it unless it's a very unusual image.

Hi there -

With dreamstime keywording service, you can see the keywords as soon as the image is approved, it could be worth a try before paying for more expensive keywording servies. DT charge 40 cents per image, anyone know what others charge?

I saw somewhere that keedup was $0.50 but it wasnt their page and I only just starting thinking about it so havent asked yet.  The ones in the pdn arcticle were about $1.5-$2.5 per image (which is too much for me). The article showed the keywords for 5 companies and 5 images. In each case it was a much better job then I would do and in some cases quite impressive the number of relevant keywords especially conceptual that they come up with.
