First at all there is not automatic readings of ITCP data again.
Second after copy pasting keywords to tags field, Terms are on French language?!?  >:(
Is it new announcement from them about
"We're happy to announce now that everything is ready to go, and we feel the new features will make your iStock experience even better. It will be live sometime this week."

I really dont understand why they cant fix this minor thing and have same problem from time to time. Why they dont enlarge this keyword window too, is it really "space science" for them?!?

Are you using ie Suljo?  I use ie but I have to log in to firefox to do anything with istock.  This version of iexplorer really sucks.  At least 10% of the web isn't compatible.

I uploaded a bunch a day or two ago and had no IPTC problems, and thought "wow, they must have finally fixed it." Guess not.

The problem is they changed their software on their end, and it uses a different "language" than IPTC data in PS. I may not have the lingo correct here, but you get the drift.

I would suggest using DeepMeta again. I can't imagine uploading to IS without it.

I never try DeepMeta but Firefox is good too and there is no problem having IE and Firefox at same time

I agree IE8 sucks, but the only site I have compatibility issues with is IStock. Still can't log on unless I use InPrivate mode.

I think that everyone who doesn't use DeepMeta has much harder life...in general. I suggest all you guys to install it. I can't imagine someone still doesn't use it...really...

If the problem is IPTC I have found sort of a fix.  Upload in browser tabs a few at a time.  Make SURE you check the boxes and go on the next screen right away as soon as the image is on the site.   If you wait even a few seconds the IPTC seems to be lost.

Of course this makes it impossible to upload and then go back and submit when you have time.

I am sure DeepMeta is awesome and I am an ostrich with my head in the sand for not using it.  However I am still stunned that istock apparently has no intention of fixing this problem, forcing contributors to use a third party software to get around their IT bugs.

I only upload to iStock with DeepMeta for the last couple of years. It is so much easier and faster when I need to process 20 photos.

I believe they have some bugs that are at least a couple of years old. I wouldn't hold my breath for any fixes there.

Lisa, DeepMeta is so easy, fast and convenient... I am sure if everyone tries it, there will never be threads similar to this one. It looks to me like I would never try to upload using web upload system...not even if someone puts a gun at my head.

Same here. The only reason for not using DeepMeta would be if someone has a mac :)

Few hours ago it was fixed. Im uploading with Safari on MAC.

I avoid DeepMeta because of Alfa, Beta, final beta, prefinal beta, very very final beta and so on wanna bee versions and no checked if there is final version at all.
In Safari they have messed up Detailed Categories too and on Firefox is OK but I dont want to go to Mozila just for iStock.
I still dont understand why you have possibility to enlarge main keyword window and window below with Tags, Language and Terms not?

I use a Mac and use Deepmeta too. But I would like to ask you. If I have some similar photos with the same keywords. I must selected keyword for every photos separately. Is any way to select all similar photos and allocate keywords all at once?

Yes, of course it's possible. I do it all the time with similar images. When you fix keywords for one image go to "Images" tab, right click on the image with fixed keywords and select "copy". Then, in the same tab, select the image you want to apply the same keywords, right click and select "paste". DeepMeta will ask you to choose what you want to paste to the new image...keywords, categories, title, model release... and you choose what you want.

Lisa, DeepMeta is so easy, fast and convenient...

Well, the program itself might be easy, but here's what Mac users have to contend with...

DeepMeta v1.4 Beta 6 available for Mac
Try out the latest test version of DeepMeta for Mac OS X. Also required for some server changes at iStock. (NOTE THE DATE)
_________________________

Mac with PowerPC processor
DeepMeta cannot run on PowerPC Macs. There are no current plans to add support for PPC. Sorry.

Mac with OS X v10.6 (Snow Leopard)
The current test version of DeepMeta does NOT work on OSX Snow Leopard (v 10.6). We hope to resolve this soon. Thanks for your patience.

___________________________

For the test versions, you will first have to install the "Mono Framework" for Mac OS X (you find it on the same DeepMeta download page). You only have to do this once. For upgrade to subsequent versions, you only need to download the small DeepMeta.zip file.

___________________________

Some Mac users are going to have issues. I'm not sure I want to troubleshoot the software for free. And awhile back, even DeepMeta uploaders were having issues.

I'd rather spend my time shooting and uploading. When the IPTC data doesn't work AT ALL on istock I'll figure out what I want to do then. Until then, my workflow works ok as is. No third party software installations necessary.

I can see that there are quite a few challenges with running DeepMeta on Mac. Cathy, I don't blame you at all for not wanting to test a software like that. My experience with the PC flavor has been pretty smooth so far. A couple of times when IS changed their site they had an update but that was about it.
I think there is a way to run Windows applications within Mac OS. That might be another option if that is something you use anyway.

DeepMeta that runs on Snow leopard became available today...just testing it this evening...it's a breeze to use at my end...with a bit of luck it will work seamlessly and save the ordeal that is uploading to iStock through their site...first image and release uploaded fine...14 more to go...keywords and categories went in OK...fingers crossed!
