According to my stats, my royalty rate has dropped one level at the start of the year even though iStock had said that we would be kept at the same rate for the coming year.

I wonder if this is a known bug, if other contributors are seeing the same issue, if iStock has said anything about this yet, and if they are going to fix it and pay us later for the remainder of royalties due as of the start of the new year?

It's known, the same for everyone, and they say it will be fixed.

and if you're generally coming late to the iStock party, you should know that PP earnings from October (paid in November) are being checked as an anomalous month (also apparently Sept[Oct])

They are perfectly capable of simply clawing that back, should they decide to do so.
On past record, they will do so. Past performance is no guarantee of current decisions, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Cheers for that ShadySue. Good to know they are aware of it and working on it.

This gives an idea of their priorities:

Any update on the royalty rate bug? The official thread says there will be an update on Thursday, January 16th, which has come and gone. My royalty rate is still 5% lower than it should be.

We got pretty distracted with the Upload issue. I will see what I can find out on the RC issue this afternoon.

Why they're so concerned with new uploads when they seldom get seen or bought, who knows.  ::)

"I wonder if this is a known bug"

Why not look in the IS forums? Maybe you will find the answer there?

They werent busy with the upload issue, they were busy with their PP cock up. Which is more important as that one cost them money. The royalty bug is making them money. Tossers.

Aware of it, sure.  Working on it?  Maybe not so much...

Well, Lobo's only a day late with his promised update:
"We are close to completing the initial step of bringing the royalty rates of the affected contributors to the right percentage. The process of implementing the fix to the live site will be performed next week. As soon as the rates are back to the correct levels we will begin the calculations of the owning royalties.
As soon as the fix is formally queued for releases we will update this thread."
