Hi guys, i have a couple of nice 4k footage (mp4) and it's impossible to upload in IS because they ask for an apple codec (Prores 422 Hq)... the problem is that i'm on Windows 10... do you have an idea how i can convert it this specific codec? I can upload my footage on other site, but not on IS...

thanks a lot.

Don't call me a d!ck but if you type your question into Google you will find tutorials and websites that explain how to create ProRes files on Windows regardless of which version.

How do you know that my name is Dick?  ;D
Thanks, it's work like a charm.
All the others are freeware, they're only do 50% conversion and you have to pay for the full version.

well, it's not work well... it take 2 minutes to upload to AS and SS... i did the job with winxdvd, ratio are ok, i use the prores 422 hq codec, 3840x2160 (same as the original),  everything seems good... the file is around 1.3 gb, but IS said my file cannot be accepted.
I will surrender and convert my 4k to 1080 HD.

Someone have a solution?

Yes, the solution is very simple: forget about istink for video.
There is absolutely no reason to upload video there, frankly, don;t waste your time on a sinking ship

Update : IS refuse edited prores 422 codec made from a third party app on windows... it's accepted only for video edited from a MAC. But, one app do the job on windows 10, it's not winxdvd...

The AfterCodecs plugin lets you encode to ProresHQ422 for free (up to 20 s of video).

But yes, forget about iStock. Why upload anything there? The royalties are terrible and they have priced HD and 4K the same. It's a total disgrace.

i will think about that, a friend sell well is 4k on IS, but no sale so fare on SS and AS... so what's the best, no sale or few sales with higher commission or sell a lot for lower commission??? it's a big question and need more reflexion! I'm new on stock, i just uploaded 2 4k on IS 2 weeks ago, i have to 2 sales...

Well, iStock is a sinking ship, despite you and your friend's sales. Selling video on iStock devalues video, and possibly takes away sales on better platforms which net you more, plus it makes iStock/Getty stronger while they treat us like crap.

Do could you tell me how much those two sales netted you?
