Title: Where do uploaded footage go?
Post by: Epsilonth on June 08, 2014, 10:41
I just started uploading footage to iS. It's been 24 hours but I can't seem to find where they go. Can you tell me where to find unfinished footages?

Thanks!

Click on "upload" (not "my uploads) and they show up on that page.  However, it takes a long time for them to digest through the system. 24 hours should do it though.

It's been 48 hours. Checked ftp. I see my files in there. Seems like they're still not processed.

Are you certain that you followed their folder scheme correctly? Another way to test is to go to uploads and upload one individual video (not via FTP, but their single uploader option) and see if it goes through.  Another possibility is the format.  The require JPEG format that is generated by either MPG Streamclip or Quicktime. If you FTP the wrong format I don't think it will go through.

I missed the manual! I thought it was as intuitive as other sites. It's iStock so that's expected I guess.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Been there done that. Learnt long ago that iStock isn't an intuitive process.
