That's really depressing. My very first sale, 19-12-2006 was a Small, no XSm then, and I got 20c. I was pretty underwhelmed at that, too!
Guess it's all these discount codes flying about, and a huge bulk buyer.

My lowest is a $0.07 so far, of course from iStock.

My lowest is 8 cents.  Not encouraging.

My IS sales from 2004 included several small sizes at 10 cents royalty (it was 10/20/30 cents for S, M, L), but in recent times, my lowest is 12 cents (at 18% royalty).

Even at DT, with a level 0 image getting its first extra small sale, it's 19 cents at least, and that only happens once.

We'll see what the 2012 RCs and prices bring, but short of leaving iStock completely, there's not much we can do beyond giving all the other sites new work first (for 6 months or a year) so iStock pays crap, but doesn't get the new work.

Could we ask FT to force Yuri to threaten to leave Istock?   ;D

My lowest is .09 from Istock.  Probably this is due to my lavish royalty rate of 19%  ::)

It always pains me to get under .25 / credit. I am pretty sure I had a .10 sale at IS back when I got a massive 20% royalty. Hopefully now that all my files are P+ I won't have to deal with that again. Every once in a while I get under .20 at DT and I find that exceedingly painful too although I guess that can only happen once per file.

Maybe it's a good thing to see 10 cents (or lower) sales as it shows that very large credit packs are still being purchased...

Kind of.  :-\

It tells you that heavily discounted credits have been purchased. You don't know why they got a discount. Although one reason might be a large credit pack, there were also some IS threads a while ago (within the last 9 months, I think) about angry important customers being given heavily discounted credits to soothe them over price increases in Vetta and of iStock files that moved up to Agency. That's less good news as it doesn't imply any volume of purchases, just the unfortunate side effects on regular price files of heavy discounts primarily for Vetta/Agency buyers.

That's not good news of course although I hope that not "every" customer is entitled to such heavy discounts. It surely must be obvious even to iStock that they can't discount all and every purchase - that'd ruin them, but then on the other side, iStock managed to push through crazy decision in the past so: who knows...?

rather to have no sale than getting that few insulting cents. Guess if you give that few cents to a beggar, you will get cursed by the beggar as well.

I get these all the time. The lowest for me was 0.07 (not an XS, but calculated to 1 cr from a larger size)

I once asked a beggar if he wanted a huge sack of pennies I had in my car, and he was thrilled.  I guess it all depends on the quantity.  (which also sucks, lately)
