Ppl usually post comparisons to the same month last year in monthly earnings threads, but they never go further back. On the IS forums you can sometimes read posts like: my worst month since DEC 2006 and I started in Sep 2006. So it looks like DL numbers really were a lot higher back then (and they started to pick up really fast for new members, unlike in the last couple of years), prices were lower, less competition/file dilution and IS had by far the largest share. Like most of you already know, I've no personal info to share, but I know lots of you do, so we should have lots of interesting info/stats/comparisons to look at

Who cares? That was then and this is now. The past is frankly irrelevant in what was a developing industry and analysis of it is no guide as to what might follow. Now and the future is all that matters.

Most of my stats were deleted there when I deleted my portfolio, but the general trend seemed to be that as prices increased sales volume decreased.  That seems to be a general trend though. That said, the price increases generally resulted in positive earnings growth.

I know people like to blame higher prices as part of the demise (or slump) of IS, but I think it proved that buyers will buy micro files at a higher price point at a fairly high volume. So, you'll end up making more money.

At least, that's my experience, and how my files sold. Results may vary. Some exceptions may apply.

Indeed, I agree with all of it. Now I'm just hoping for someone to poof in the same fashion as Tobey do in monthly ear.ings threads

With that attitude, we would still be living in caves.
