I normally log in in Netscape, but when I want to upload, I have to log in using IE6.  However this is not working, the page https://www.luckyoliver.com/login never loads, although I can see the main page http://www.luckyoliver.com correctly.

I can upload with FTP, but there is a particular image with special characters that LO doesn't normally read, so I have to edit, but edition doesn't work in NS.   :-[

I tried to clean the cache and cookies, that didn't help.  It must be something easy, as it worked before.  Any suggestions?  Can it be some security level setting?

Regards,
Adelaide

Hi Adelaide,

this could be the anti pop-up of your browser.

Don't know how to deactivate it in Netscape and I don't remember in IE6.

Have a look in the tools or the options of your browser.  In IE7, it is under Tools.

Hope it helps!

Claude,

Pop-ups are not disabled for me.  I tried many things, including adding them to my secure zones, no luck.  I only get the progress bar at the bottom stopping at about 1/3 of the way and it never loads.

I've emailed LO but no reply.  I think I'll delete that photo, because it impedes me  from submitting more.

Regards,
Adelaide

I'm running IE7 and have had no problems logging into LO.  What happens when you try to load the login page?

Using IE7 no problems. Maybe a DNS issue?

I'm using IE6 and it always worked before.  Now the main page loads, the login page doesn't.  The progress bar stops at about 30%, the page's title appears at the top or the browser.

I have added their URL as secure, just in case, I have even lowered my security level to see if this was the issue. Nothing worked.

I have emailed LO support before, no reply, it sems I'll have to try it again...

Adelaide

It gets better and better... Now I can't login using NS either.  When clicking on sign in, I get an error msg saying "connection refused when trying to contact www.luckyoliver.com".  I can navigate through the rest of the site well.

So, as LO management has been unable to fix what worked before and until I get a new computer in a year or so, when I'll have newer software versions, I'm out of LO.

Adelaide

Any update on this?  I still can't login using IE.  It's all a bit half-arsed isn't it...

Is the url in your post the one you try? Works fine for me. Again IE7.  Try from another computer if you can. Not sure what the prob can be.

I looked at the code behind the page. There is some javascript. Check all your settings regarding javascript execution. Only thing I could see.

NS resumed working fine.  I still can't log in using IE6 though, but I tried IE7 at work and it's ok (but I won't be using my office computer).  What bothers me is that it must be something simple, as it worked not long ago.  I don't expect them to give support to NS7, but IE6?
