Allen, not sure of your problem, but if email [email protected] we'll take a look at it. We still haven't enabled FTP yet, so this might be your problem.

Bryan, I was going to post this on the forum at LO, but everyone was so busy talking about what a great job you guys are doing. I'm sorry to rant, but I was in one window building a website for a client while getting errors at LO, and I've got to tell you, it's getting frustrating.

I'm not just pointing the finger here at LO - Istock, SX, and Fotolia are all just as guilty. A great job is when things go relatively smoothly. When things are crippled for weeks, that's doesn't fall under the heading of a great job by anyone's standards.

I've been involved in upgrades and migrations and there are always problems, but all four of these sites have had problems that go way above and beyond acceptable.

The days of a couple guys in the basement with a computer running a business went out with little Billy Gates and Steve Jobs. The Internet allows such businesses to operate, but it shouldn't look like it. It should look and run like a business.

I operate IT at our company, and I can't imagine our email or webserver going down, and me telling our clients, 'sorry, I'm doing the best I can', much less getting a bunch or replies patting me on the back for communicating. I"d be tied up and burned at the stake in about an hour.

I believe all four of these businesses are operating with a fairly substantial budget and should be able to stage and test parrellel systems real time with out using us as guinea pigs - and speaking of guinea pigs, it doesn't help the frustration level to keep hitting a buggy server and presented with skippy the hampster.

And just to spread the love over  to SX, I can't imaginge calling my vendors and contractors and telling them, 'hey, we can't pay you the way we're supposed to, so you can just wait, or change the way you do business. We don't really care, cuz we still got your money.'

Sorry again for the long rant, but I started to write this email with Istock crapped in the punch bowl and decided it wasn't worth the effort.  I wrote it again when Fotolia 'upgraded' and saw that no one was listening. I've never got much satisfaction complaining at SX, so I just quit uploading moved them to the head of my list of agencies to rething after the new year.

And to be honest, this isn't so much pointed at those four as everyone else. If you are going to upgrade, migrate, or otherwise drastically change your systems, pleae take the time and effort to do it right and think of the people who have chosen you to represent our work and our business.

Allen- you should be able to upload. We made a dumb testing error that was left in the code.

I appreciate the feedback and I'm sorry we have not been able to meet your needs.  We appreciate the support from our community, but we're not patting ourselves on the back.  The focus is on making sure things are stable.

Making technical decisions can be difficult and I've made my fair share of wrong ones.  We made the decision to move over onto the new platform knowing that it would be bumpy.  The old server set-up could no longer maintain the traffic and remain stable. If we had made the decision earlier in the year there may not have been as many problems, but that's a decision that passed. I take responsibility for not being prepared.

I understand your frustration. We're working hard to make things gel. As things stabilize we hope to regain your trust.

Now that that is all said and done....  I just bailed out for the night on LO.     
              Trying to submit a dozen or so pix, but everytime I try to load the keywords, it bumps me out and won't load.   Pretty frustrating as well.
             I'm still hanging in there... been over a year now, still lightyears from side show and pay outs....  but I continue to upload....   or at least, I'm trying to upload.   
          Maybe tomorrow will be a better day...    8)-tom

Yeah tried last night as well and now this morning. I'm getting this when I hit the submit button: (black & white text screen)

Guess its better then wasting the time of actually starting an upload. Could use some improvement on getting content to the buyer, but I like the simplistic clean graphic style....  ;)

FTP seemed to be back on so I uploaded 47 files.... none of them are there! I guess FTP is still crap at LO.  >:(

Has worked like a charm for me since it is back up. Maybe you should talk to support - they're very helpful. Much better option than just venting here in my opinion.
