Title: LuckyOliver Opens Forums With A Twist Called Odditorium
Post by: GeoPappas on April 20, 2007, 05:17
It seems that LO has finally opened up a forum.  The difference is that they don't have sub-forums and are trying to use sticky tags (aka keywords) to search for threads.

Here is the link:

What do you guys think of the new Odditorium?

I happen to love it (but i'm biased since i helped test and got to put in lots of feedback and i'm also a moderator there)... LO is definately trying to do things in a new way. We discussed using traditional forums like this one instead of doing custom development, but I think LO did the right thing by doing it themselves and integrating it in the site.

I'm eager to see how it develops.

A bit confusing at first.

I wonder... how benefitial is a forum in a site?  Active sites have active fora, but are the fora active because the site is active or does an active forum induces an active site?

Regards,
Adelaide

I have no issue with no subforums.  I only use the "latest posts" veiw here anyway.
