Title: Is anyone still using MicrostockAnalytics? (3 of 7 agencies not working)
Post by: Blackx on March 02, 2023, 11:16
Hi, I use MicrostockAnalytics from time to time and there have always been glitches.

But currently there are three agencies not working and no update for a while, so I am wondering if it is still being updated? (Details below if you are curious or have similar issues)

What is your recent experience?

Thank you!

Some details about non-working agencies:

iStock - logged in and then... nothing :) I can navigate around the site and my account, but the app is not reacting

Dreamstime - Press & Hold to confirm you are a human - success, but then the page is reloaded and I need to confirm again and again...

Bigstock - Login button moves you to the home page, but doesn't actually login

I have to turn these three off to at least gather data from the remaining agencies.

Yes, I mentioned in another thread.

The owner is also a successful photographer so sadly I don't think it is a priority for them.

I have invested a lot of time and money organising my portfolio database on it, and I rely on a lot of its features day to day. I think it's finally time to give up any hope of decent support and end my subscription when it's up for review. Such a shame.

Oh, I see. It is a pity, I will miss it too, but will probably have to move to another service like this one ... though they are more expensive and I don't need it daily, so maybe I will subscribe just for two months in a year or so :)

The same here and I also have problems with Shutterstock (M.A. won't add the photos I uploaded after April 2022, so it's not counting those sales either).
I've reported this to the owner, but after one initial response (and no solution) I got nothing.
So the programme is now quite useless. That's a shame.

What other software are you talking about? I found Microstockr, it supports many more agencies but has some flaws and it's less useful than Microstock Analytics. And sooo slow!

Yes, I meant Microstockr, but haven't tried it yet. I see that it is not I great way too :(

Then there is Stock Performer, but that's even more expensive or you can pay the cheaper subscription and live without collections... tough choice :/ but I have not tested that one either.

Same here with SS. Such a shame. We should be getting refunds really. Would also be nice if he unlocked the database if he's really going to abandon the project, so we can at least keep access to our historic data.

I PM'd the developer and asked him to please reply here so we and others know if it is still being supported/ developed or if we need to find other solutions. Hopefully they will respond!

This program is (was) the best. Been using it for I think 10 years and is an important part of my workflow. A shame the last few months it's unusable. Tried to contact him two times but didnt get a reply.

Does anyone know of alternatives at this moment? Trying Microstockr Pro now but I miss some functionality's in it.

Same. Honestly I hope he unlocks the existing databases at least so we can keep our historical data (especially the keyword data)

I was honestly starting to worry that something had happened to Andrey but I was reading an article on DT randomly just now and there he was a couple of months ago making comments under it!

Honestly it’s just bloody rude when people have paid you hundreds of dollars over the years and are in ongoing subscriptions to completely ignore them and abandon the service mid-contract.

Not ethical behaviour IMHO. He could at least make an announcement if he's not prepared to support it any more. If it is for valid reasons I’m sure people would understand.
