Greetings,
I would like to announce release of Microstock Analytics 1.3.
New version comes with new pricing. Now it looks following:
- Basic 500 files (500 files analytics) - free.
- Pro 1000 (1000 files analytics) - $9.99/3 months or $29.99/year.
- Pro 2000 (2000 files analytics) - $19.99/3 months or $59.99/year.
- Unlimited analytics - $39.99/3 months or $119.99/year.
- Unlimited Owned License - $299.99 One Time Fee.
All existing paid accounts were upgraded and extended depending on remaining balance.
Pro 1500 accounts were upgraded to Pro 2000.
Pro 3000 accounts were upgraded to Unlimited.
New version is optimized a lot for big portfolios - increased speed of rendering thumbnails, database loading and stats fetching. Graph updates are up to 40x faster.
Image matchmaking algorithm become much more precise. It can detect same files on different sites much better. And there is a possibility to manually join and split files.
New features:
First of all it is search function. Is allows you to search for files in big portfolio using keywords, titles and descriptions. Also there is filter by upload month which helps to narrow search results even further. It makes file set (collection) creation pain free even for huge portfolios.

The second is export to CSV format. It is possible to export stats per file of per day. Totals earnings and downloads for all agencies as well as per agency data. It is possible to filter by fileset and or export stats for selected files.

The third is keyword analysis. This allows you to see complete list of keywords. Soft keywords by revenue, by RPI or file count. Display monthly/weekly/daily earnings per keyword as well as all other stats.

The last one is filesets/collections sorting. Sort by file count, ROI, RPI, Total Revenue or arrange in Custom Order.

Tyler, thanks for trying out new version. Errors are related to referred earnings on Shutterstock. I will work to fix that. Apart from that most of the features should work.

Today released new version of Microstock Analytics. There is new feature that allows you to compare several filesets on one graph. Simply select few filesets using ctrl key and see graph below. Hope you enjoy this feature.
New features in previous build:
1. Search by negative keyword. Use "not" before keyword to exclude files from search. For example "business not isolated" will search for all files containing business keyword but not isolated.
2. Filter to display only unassigned files during fileset creation/modification.
3. Yearly view mode (for the bottom graph).

When can we expect support for 123rf? Their earnings are (at least in my case) surpassing both FT and DT and it would me nice to have support for them. :)

Is fixed ? Why can I change my agency account ID... I try to remove this software and re-install, but the data still there!!!! no confidence using this software again...

Still working on it. Software is using agency account IDs to identify that account is used by the same user. Otherwise it would be possible to use same account by unlimites number of users

CoisaX, Revenue estimates cannot be calculated if you have files newerthen 7 days in your selection.
Tyler, yes, I will make force all button for each site in next release and also checkbox where you can select which agencies you want to update. Just wanted to release iStock fix faster, so this feature didn't made it in release.

1. When will you release new version where I can force full update of portfolio or some files with changed keywords?
2. Estimated Revenue/Month doesn't show any data for iStockphoto now, so will it be included in new version?

2. Estimated Revenue/Month will not be included in this new version. I'm still trying to figure out way to calculate estimates for this. If you any suggestions/ideas how to estimate revenue based iStock sales I appreciate if you share them.

It is very useful software. Ok, let's get to the problems I have found during this time I have a full version.
- My portfolio at this time count 2352 online active files (I am not counting pending files) but MA telling me that there is only 2312
- Double click on All Files returns some error: value cannot be null.....
- Sometimes after updating stats my categories just disappear and I have to restart the software to bring them back
- I would like that setting I made during one session stay for another time I start the MA. For example bar charts and show numbers.
- For now I have only 3 audio files and they are all under one thumbnail is it possible to every file has it's own thumb?
- Today I sent an error report from MA as you already know and those errors appear every time I update stats.
Right now I don't have any idea how you could calculate estimates, sorry.

I forgot to mention that Getty sales are not counted into statistics, do you plan to implement that too?
When I look at the weekly revenue graph some numbers overlap others, is there any chance to make numbers smaller or at least vertical?

Thanks for your feedback and error reports.
- The reason you see less files is because MA combined some files into groups. You can see this if you sort by duplicate count and double click on a file - it will show list of files in the group.
- Double click on "All Files" has been fixed.
- What do you mean categories disappear? Do you mean filesets?
- Yes, settings saving would really nice addition. Added this on my list.
- Good point about audio files. Will change that in next version.
- Thanks for error report. IS changed the way how they display Getty sales. I will be fixing this in next version.

How number of files analyzed limit are calculated?
In actual five agency's, only one are almost 300 files ( other around 200~250 ), but it's possible have more 500 different files over they, but surely have much files without any sale.
Need to go "pro", but for now don't justify get an license thta overpass my needs.

Program groups identical files uploaded on different sites together. 500 limit is set for such groups. So if you have 200-300 identical files on stocks it is still less then free version limit. But if files are different, then it can be over 500 already and it will display first 500 sorted by upload date.

- Configurable thread count for update. For slow internet connections (512 Kbit) optimal value should be around 5 threads. For 16 Mbit and up increasing to 100 threads should speedup initial updates.
- Support for updated GI Sale page in iStockphoto
- Feature to show bestselling files that were not yet uploaded to all sites (or didn't pass inspection). Activated using Sort By drop down in upper right corner. For example, if you select Shutterstock upload, it will display only files that were not uploaded to Shutterstock and sort them by average monthly revenue.

Nice tool although a little way from 500 files at the moment. There is a little bug I think - DT and FT upload need to be reversed

If you see any errors, please use built-in function to send error report. Also please try to force full update for FT and DT in preferences. Let me know if you still have any errors.

Sorry Andrey - can't see an option for logging a problem - it's not actually * an error of any sort. What's happening is if you select the DT Upload sort option it is showing files not uploaded to FT and the FT Upload is showing files not uploaded to DT. BTW these are excellent options for those who haven't really tracked what is uploaded where although, in some cases, upload canditates may already be on the site as the connection between the same file on all sites hasn't been made.
Overall, looks like a very useful tool, hope it does very well for you.

I have a question : When we delete/disable an image from a stock site does the image stay forever in Microstock Analytics database?

Grigor, this depends on the site. On iStockphoto it should disappear from the list of files. On other sites it still will be in database. Right now only way is to delete the database and fetch statistics again. In future it would be good idea to hide deleted pictures on other sites as well. But I don't know if this wold be desired behavior for most of the users.

Thanks for the tip! Maybe you can add 'hide deleted photos' as an option so that everyone can choose whether to see them or hide them.

Release version 1.5.3:
- Fixed errors for iStockphoto, Shutterstock, Fotolia, 123RF that appeared during stats update process. Thanks to everyone for error reports.
- Sorting in Keyword Sales window now works correctly.
- List of keywords in Optimize Keywords window is filled autimatically from selected files. There is still a possibility to paste keywords from clipboard in case you optimizing keywords for new files.
- Added Ctrl+A combination support in list of files.
- Filesets sort by name mode.
- Adding files into fileset using Drag-n-Drop from file list.
- Option to show unassigned files in main window (toggle on the right side to upload month filter).
- File filtering by type (photo, video, vector, audio).
- Optional confirmation when joining the files (can be configured in Preferences window).

Another question: everytime I start MA the login and password fields of all sites are blank. Login is already filled only for Dreamtime and Fotolia. Is there a way to save those data?

There was a database compatibility problem in this version. Please update to the newest:

I've updated to version 1.5.4, filled the login and password fields (of the sites), checked "force full update" to all, waited for the update and closed MA. When I've reopened it I was asked to enter my account info, and then alla the sites field were blank again.

Until version 1.5.3, the program keep app and sites logins. With 1.5.4 All gone, only DT and FT Login name appear without possibility to change it.

Just bought the unlimited version. It doesn't seem to work right. After it fetched all my data which took some time, when I closed the program and entered again it was all gone. Have to fetch everytime all data again. Also when I created Filesets if it was one it was ok. As soon as I created 3...when I moved through them everything was messy, some was not showing any file at all, another one showed files I didn't add. Hope you can help about that.

Do NOT enter your login info again in old version. Please update to new version first.
Added code that will prevent database overwrite in future. So this will never happen again.

Huh, previous version deleted all my filesets but you already know that from my mail. New version you pointed though email does not like old database too. It asks me to delete old database and create new one. Come on man, you can fix it :)

I think you can just rename the MicrostockAnalytics directory in your MyDocs folder.

I have some issue here. My portfolio has some dls and I can see it on site, then I update stats with MA and when I made an addition through years I can see some 600+ downloads more than I have on the site. Site does not calculate pp and Getty sales in the sum downloads but i have doubt that I have so many pp sales which I opted out long time ago. Also I can see some mismatch errors when I collect stats (I already sent you that report). Please, could you explain what MA collect (pp,getty...) an is there any chance to separate those dls? Thank you.

According to error reports there are only less then 10 sales mismatched. This may be false positives. I will be updating validation process to support updated statistics in iStock. After update errors may disapper. PP sales should be visible in "Revelue Split" graph. It shows total earnings rather then download count, but it should easy to calculate downloads.

Shutterstock changed fortmat of pages recently. There will update this week (plan to release on Friday) with support of updated format.

Microstock Analytics 1.6.1 is out:
- New installation program. Tested for compatibility with newest Norton Internet Security and Kaspersky
- Added Downloads and Downloads/Month sort modes
- Added title, description and keywords information in file edit dialog (open using double click on files)
- iStock: fixed GI sales not being updated

After all this errors on IS in last few days, MA is not calculating my sales correctly. I sent you an error report, there is an error showing some ridiculous mismatch for a few thousands percent.

It looks like error iStock side. How big is difference in terms of dollar amount? You can reply via email if you want.

Those numbers wan't say much so I can write here. For Monday it is small difference on IS it is higher for $6,25 than in MA. On Tuesday there is $62,98 more on site than in MA but there is something weird, almost every time I update MA there is different number on graph. I guess that this is connected with an RC glitch on IS site. I sent you an error report from MA and you can see a large percentage difference there. File sets are still disappearing. Is there any chance to pick up stats on some quicker way for the current day or two? Some button for quick stats so we don't have to wait MA pick all stats for passed years.

There can be some difference in GI sales because iStock doesn't show download dates for GI files on GI sales page. I will change this in new version to read from graphs. This will help with many errors. Do you see any error message on startup that asks you to overwrite database?
File sets should work just fine. If you don't have any information to loose. You can try to completely delete database and all files from My Documents\Microstock Analytics folder.
Stats fetch is doing incremental update. The reason it can take a while is that there are many different types of files and sales to check.

GI sales are usually calculated around 25th of the month for the previous month so those differences are not from GI sales. For yesterday stats MA showing about $150 less than I can see on site.
There is no startup error message.
I already had one deletion of filesets due to version you released in mistake, then I copied database from another computer. Filesets are here but after a while they just disappear until the next restart of MA.

Yes, there is something strange with IS update atm. Please try to force full update this can fix the problem while I'm working on proper fix.
Are you sure that filessets disappears? Maybe it is fileset scrollbar on some wrong position. Please try to scroll the bar to upper and lower position to see if this will solve it.

This is probably the same issue as the last files sold not being displayed correctly

Full update solve statistics problem for the last 10-15 days now I will see if the stats update will work on the following period. Yes filessets disappear it is not a wrong scroll bar position, there is no scroll bar at all. I will send you a print screen. I still have errors in updates of stats, next update i will send you error report.

Aftre new year has come, MA is not working well at all. I have some silly numbers for this and last year and every time I update stats, numbers are different. I tried full update too and I got a bigger mess in numbers. What is going on Andrey?

Numbers for iStock are way off right now because of Partner Program stats. It doesn't show most of the PP sales. I'm working on update.

It is not PP I have very few files there and it is a few bucks per month. Here I am speaking in thousands. I still can't see my Getty sales in MA.

Today released version 1.6.3 with error fixes for iStock. Please try this one. Do you see correct data on iStock website My Uploads page?

I send an "automatic report" ( a new one ). I'm still getting "error updates" over Istock. Check it.
On "My uploads page" stats are ok, but i think that is something about PP sales.

It didn't solve problem. Here is print screen of two graphs from MA and IS site. Ok IS didn't yet updated last two days but you can see the difference. IS is showing about $200 more than MA and IS still don't have last two days on graph. There are correct data on My Uploads page.

Thanks for error reports. I'm working on fix for this error. In meanwhile please don't use force force update for iStock as it might increase difference between stats.

Just dl this program. Tried my 123rf account but it keeps telling me incorrect login/password. I also didnt get any field to fill in the captcha. I got version 1.6.3.0

After last update 1.6.4.0 I can't even see any new numbers in the chart neither the bars. Last date I can see is 9th of January.

Correction, it is not connected to the specified date it is connected to the last database update date. I am using it on 2 comps and on this one last date with bar is January 11. Summary is not accurate too and it is changing somehow after every update.

Version 1.6.5 is out with fixes for iStock. It fixes problems with full update and new stats for iStock.

Check your \Documents\Microstock Analytics folder there should be several database backups. First copy a whole folder in new location. Then check for MA_Database Backup XXX.dat files. The file that has bigger size will have all your data. Rename it to MA_Database.dat. Please let me know how this worked out for you.

Ok, I will try this when I get back in studio. I turned on my comp, started MA and it said that database is wrong and offered me to create new and send error report to you. I backed up whole folder and let it send you error report and pull all data again. Could you add a feature that I can exclude checking PP sales? There is a bunch of errors in it and I am not interested in PP sales especially when they are updated only once at month.

It is a page count. I believe there is 20 Partner sales per page on iStock.

Released version 1.6.6:
- Added Fotolia stats validation and reprocessing in case of mismatching stats. This should help with Fotolia stats error if there are any
- Sort by Similarity mode. In this mode only pairs of very similar photos are displayed. This helps a lot when gruoping idential files that are not grouped automatically. Thanks to heywoody for suggestion.
- Added Revenue vs. File Count mode for the chart at the bottom of the screen. Works only in Line graph mode. Helps to analyze revenues vs portfolio size numbers.
- Filter by Agency. Located in the same dialog as File Type filter and allows to display only files and earnings from one or more sites.

Hmmm... On PP page, I have 20 images per page, almost 15 pages. Still not figuring how it get to more than 700 ( this month almost 900 ).
Anyway with 1.6.7.0 i'm getting the following error ( report sent ):

What is going on with updates? I can't fetch anything after last changes on IS.

Just released update for latest changes on iStock website in version 1.7.9.
Since latest update there is no way to see when subscription downloads actually happened. Only the totals for each file. Microstock Analytics will evenly distribute subscription downloads. This means that revenue per month can be slightly off. But total revenues should match.

It is working now, but there are mismatch in daily and monthly summary. For September I have more than $200 difference between IS stats and MA stats. There is more money according to MA stats.
When MA will be able to count GI sales?

Most probably it is coming from subscription sales. Since I don't have info when exactly file was sold there can be quite significant difference in subscribtion royalties. Let's say you have file with 120 subscribtion sales which is one year old. MA will add 10 sales per month because it can fetch only total amount from iStock. But maybe in some month it sold 20 times. There is no place where i can see this info.

Does this add 20-50$ to some specific day or it's spread across different months? If you update second time right after you updated once, does it add this amount as well?

It is added across the entire month after the changes in September. Every day I have more money in MA. Lower amount during weekend. Same numbers appears after every update. Those differences are present only in September, just to be clear. Same case with downloads, there are more dls in MA. Looks like IS is not showing something that MA see. I am starting with you because maybe there is some bug on your side but it is very likely that IS have some bug too.

Yes, I have the Unlimited license and get all the updates.
If only they added Bigstock, too! This year, it has become my 3rd earner, after Shutterstock and Fotolia. So their data would be very important to analyse, but I can't! :-[

Bigstock will be next supported agency. But I don't have time estimate at the moment. There is always work to support 6 agecines which delays addition of new ones.

Hi, there is no iOS version. It would be hard to implement for iOS. As Database requires lots of storage and initinal stats collection can take very long time.
