Time for an update I suppose.

I spent a little time with Lee the other day and we brainstormed and came up with two shoot ideas.  French Lifestyle (Cafe, street life, walking downtown, french bread etc.) and Beach Tourism (Couple / people on and near beach).

The shoots will be taking place on Tuesday, April 27.  10:00-14:00  15:00-19:00

I am working on getting some models organized.  We are hoping to get 8 models in total, 4 for each shoot.  That means that the total cost will be 800 Euro divided by the number of shooters, or 400 Euro/shoot.

I am not finding a ton of models, but have found a few who are interested.  There is a good chance we won't get 8 but hopefully we'll get close.  If you know of someone who might want to model, let me know.

Well I have gotten a few more interested models - so even if there isn't 8 in total we should for sure have some.

It sounds like Lee will be making it for sure - could be an expensive shoot for him :)

- I haven't gotten confirmation about my flight yet but I plan to still make it.  I'll fly out later in the week if I have to... or even on the weekend.  My flight looks to be going - so see you there :)

Will appreciate if you share your experience/learnings about that shoot after it will be completed. I can't join you but I will be in that area in the summer...

The site http://en.book.fr seems to be helpful for French models (though I didn't use it myself).

thanks for the link btw.  I used that site quite a lot.

Opla

Well, I made it :)
No sign of train strikes whatsoever.
Hope to see you soon!
Watch out where the huskies go...

sounds good.  See you tomorrow morning.

Alright, tomorrow is the shoot - we have 8 models booked.  I emailed all the models yesterday and have been sms'ing with 6 of them today.  I haven't heard from one couple so me may be stuck with 6 - that might work out just fine though.

It sounds like we will be 6 people shooting on the first shoot and 5 people shooting on the second shoot.  Good times.

Pictures to follow...

Yeah, got some real good ones.
I never knew they actually grow reflectors on the bottom of the Cannes harbor though. Interesting stuff.

Yep amazing what you can find when you go fishing in the harbor!

leaf

Yeah, apparently it's a big deal here.  They are pretty rare though so you gotta keep your eyes open.  I'm just glad I spotted it before you guys did.

leaf

yep, haha - look at you all, jealous that I spotted the free reflector on the bottom of the sea first  :)

leaf

alright, here are some of my shots from the first half of the day
