Hi all,

after another motivated evening of coding, I'm happy to announce that versoin 1.2 of Microstock Monitor is available. It got support for RF123 and Featurepics! It only displays the balance at the moment and not the current downloads. I'm not sure if they have a concept of "current downloads", as I did not have any sale there yet *g*.

Can you guys please head over to http://microstockmonitor.unfolded.com and test the new version? I'm really looking forward to your feedback.

Ah ... and if you don't contribute to any of the supported agencies yet, but plan to, please consider using the links from inside Microstock Monitor or from my website. This will make me your referer and might give me a little compensation for developing and maintaining Microstock Monitor.

Let me know how this new release works for you.

All the best,
Michael

Do you mind telling us how to set up a program with windows firewall to only visit certain websites?  This might alleviate some of the concern people have about security.

Hi!

Ok! I'll work on a section on my website which is dedicated to this issue.

Edit: The section is here and was announced in a dedicated thread in this forum.

All the best,
Michael

Michael,

You may want to edit your Shutterstock thread where you name other agencies with their full name.  The initials are tolerated.

Regarding SS guidelines, here is one of Seth's posts about mentioning other stock agencies:

PLEASE DO NOT POST LINKS TO A COMPETITOR'S SITE. Also, do not refer to any competitors by name. We would appreciate if you could all follow these guidelines. Thank you.

maybe you need to log out, and then log in again.  Sometimes the shutterstock forum likes that.

Hi!

Thanks...I managed to edit one of my posts but the other keeps giving me debug errors. I'll try again tomorrow.

Anyways...time to get back on-topic I guess. Did anyone test the new release of Microstock Monitor, in particular the rf123 and featurepics support?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi!

Many thanks. What exactly do you mean by "download numbers were off". Do you mean a) They didn't show ("ToDo" instead) or b) that they were wrong (if yes, for which agency?).

I've not implemented current downloads yet, because I got no downloads with those agencies and therefore don't know the format which they use...

Many thanks for using Microstock Monitor,
Michael

Hi!

Ahhh...I see. These are supposed to be the number of your photos which have been downloaded by customers at these agencies. I.e., the number of the photos which you sold.

Are the correct?

Many thanks,
Michael

Dear Fritz,

Microstock Monitor is currently not available. It is undergoing a major revision based on inputs from a concerned stock agency, please consult this thread for details:
http://www.microstockgroup.com/index.php?topic=1314.0

Said that, the revised version, which should be available soon, will work correctly with all national derivations of Fotolia.

In the meantime, please continue to support Microstock Monitor by signing up to additional agencies through my referal links:

All the best,
Michael
