iStockphoto, the world’s busiest image market announced today that it recently surpassed two million members. The two-millionth member was Brandon Elrod, from Foothill Ranch, California. Brandon, a certified arborist whose initial iStock purchase was of trees (naturally), will receive a prize package that includes 2,000 site credits. Other new members joining around the two millionth mark hailed from Australia, Canada, China, the Philippines, and Trinidad and Tobago.

But not 2 million photographers ... thank heavens   :)

Does anyone know how many contributing members iStock has?

so how many are active?  Out of the 2m and the 38K?

Istock has been around a while so no doubt there has been a lot of churn - even if it is just people move jobs and starting a new account.
