privacy is out of control in this country.

i had a cop take my camera off me after taking a photo of a lion statue in a park after some clown suggested i was taking photos of kids.

Is that in Australia.  i am sure an over eager cop could happen anywhere.

This petition seems to be in response to a news paper article.  Is this real or just editorial license to print more papers.

Note: there is a similar petition in the UK which isn't even petitioning against government policy.  Just doing a pre emptive strick so to speak.

after having been questioned, details recorded and almost arrested for taking photos on the sydney harbour bridge, I always have these with me. it was 5am+tripod, but so what.

the scary thing is that - as far as i understand it - they want to make photography in public illegal but at the same time the government is installing more and more security cameras in the same places ... that just does not sound right for me ...
