Guys, I can't use Paypal and I can't use Moneybookers anymore. Is there any other option except checks? Maybe some other money transfer agency?

Sorry.. I asked stupid question. It depends on microstock agency which service they use...

BTW.

Why you can't use Moneybookers anymore!?

Only FP and CC have problems with MB payouts...

I got an email from Moneybookers and they say that they don't provide their service between US to US, and US to EU customers.

Aha!
Maybe for FP or CC, but Shutterstock will not be affected by the changes made in Moneybookers'
services.  ;)

Till now I haven't any money transaction from US customers, that must be reason why I didn't get that mail.

Moneybookers works for me with: SS, FT, IS, DT, StockXpert, 123rf, no problems. I like MB.

If you are in USA, I am sure paypal works as well. At least you have 2 choices, my only choice is MB.

Unfortunately this is emali I got from MB:
"Dear Mr. Paunovic,

Thank you for contacting Moneybookers Customer Support.

Following up your query we confirm that due to change in our policies, we will stop processing payments between US customers, and US customers and international customers using the Send Money service, with effect from November 19.11.08.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

In addition, be kindly reminded that all our US customers will still be free to send money to merchants via the website, as well as to make payments via merchants' websites."

@una: some sites dont pay via check. and if they do, to cache out a check, bank take about 30-50 euros, and it takes about 30 days to verify... check is worst option.

MB is working OK for now in Bosnia. :)

I was looking on payoneer, it seems it works only with its own master cards. When caching out on ATMS it takes fees, it is not practial very much because I cant use my own bank master card, to avoid any fees (like I do with MB and visa card).

I cant understand why MB is cuting its business in this global crysis, is it in their interest to get more money form clients?!

As I said, MB is working fine in Bosnia, at least for now. If it stops, well, that would be a real problem.

and mr, Paunovic. If I understood corectly: SS told you that YOU cant send money to US accounts, but stock agencies are not ordinary acconts, they are merchants. They can send you money anyway. I am sure you will get your SS money just fine. Dont panic for no reason.

Peter,

They said that "US customers will still be free to send money to merchants", not the other way - that is our problem, I guess.  Unless we have a merchants account.

Is there any disadvantage in changing to merchants account?  Different fees or whatever?

Adelaide

Thank you all. I will wait and see. For now, I know that printbusinescards.com couldn't send my money to MB because of this problem. So, I asked my friend from another country to use his paypal account this time. So, my money came to his paypal account.

Hello from Croatia

Yes you may open one , but for our authorities is illegal and I think  its considered financial crime unless you don't have double nationality.

But I dont understand why would you have to do that when we can use moneybookers without problems.

Im using it in Croatia for years all sites are paying that way except snapvillage and maybe some small earners , some had problems with it , but they always resolved that soon.

Hi Lizard, regards from Rijeka!

I use MB, but for now it is only "easy"option..

In case that we one day need alternative payment option, we have to be ready... ;)

Also!
In accordance with the harmonization of laws with the EU (and access to the EU), after 1.1.2009. You can open an account out of Croatia...

I live in Brazil and I opened a bank account in UK and it isn't illegal as long as funds are legal and declared.  It was even possible to open this account without going to UK - but I was going there on my vacation and this sped up the process.  But this, of course, is the Brazilian law.

I don't know how MB treats my account - I think it takes into account that I don't live in the USA.  PP for certain links Brazilian accounts to their US site - I tried to change mine to UK, but unless I was able to provide a UK address, they would not accept it.

Adelaide

Bank account out of my country (Croatia) isn't illegal... If you working out of Croatia you can have it...

Point is in a money laundry law...
If you haven't business in some other country, or you don't work there question is why you need that account!?
It is a old stupid law to protect our monetary system because Croatia is a small country...
With globalization and approaching to EU, from 1. January our monetary system will be completely liberal...

But what is the reason to cancel world wide (US) transaction from MB !?

lets not complicate things. SS works with MB, and it works in europe and in USA both.

whtechild, I think it is internal problem with printbusinescards.com and MB, that you have. I am sure SS (or any other big6 agency) dont have those problems. and you will get your money OK.

everyone here is talking how we used MB without problems for yeares. Did someone read what MB wrote me in their email?? It will not be the case anymore. Read theyr letter:"Following up your query we confirm that due to change in our policies, we will stop processing payments between US customers, and US customers and international customers using the Send Money service, with effect from November 19.11.08."

So, after 19th november everything will change

One important question:
Do you have a problem with any of big6 stock agencies?

 Or just those small agencies?

zazzle, wazzle, shmazzle.....

as long as MB works with big6 (FT, SS, DT, StockXpert, 123rf, IS), I dont consider it as a problem... and for those other "small" agencies, well, win some, loose some. It is their on fault that they dont work with MB. Their own bad business policy. And they shout fix that problem with MB, not us.

I don't know about SS, but IS, DT, StockXpert, FT and 123RF all have offices outside USA, so maybe they can by-pass this MB rule (or US-goverment rule, if that is the case).  But remember that DT and others also had problems with MB this year.

Regards,
Adelaide
