Hey all,
I have joined your forum after one of your members (one of my customers) mentioned my services in a post here. Since he mentioned my service I have had a few enquiries and 3 new customers from microstockgroup so I thought I would post my details here to answer any questions you might have.
Firstly I would like to state that I am UK based (yes i'm an Englishman) and I do not outsource jobs to overseas companies.
The basic service I offer for image retouching and keywording for stock photographers is as follows:
Retouching: Exposure correction, white balance correction, dust and scratch removal, logo and trademark removal, image sharpening and enhancement.
Keywording: 15-30 keywords -
The number of applicable keywords of course depends on the individual image, Some keyword services like to put in as many words as they can just for the sake of it but this is actually counter productive, concise clear keywords that are relevant to the image are the key to your image achieving higher rankings and potentially higher sales. Some stock site search algorithms actually penalize you in the rankings for keyword spamming,
Also some agencies require a brief description whilst some do not so I always include a brief description in the metadata to keep those agencies happy.
My rates are:
$1.50 per image for 01-25 images
$1.25 per image for 25-50 images
$1.00 per image for 50+ images

I have already spoken to Mike and sent him one image, he seems very professional and the low res copy came back good. Just waiting for hi res copy and to send a trial batch of 10.
