Really like it, but wish it wasn't a buck a pop for extra agencies. You get 14 or so for $3, but if you want the last 8, it's $8 more?

I love the app (use it on iPhone). It would be great if it had a feature allowing the financials to be queried by date range. I would certainly pay extra for this feature.

That is exactly what I wanted to say! I mis daily earnings. Would make the app complete.

Just updated Microstockr to 1.9.8

Tried the Daily Earnings for the first time. None of them are correct. It  shows no daily earnings at most sites whether I had any or not. On other sites it shows daily sales where I had none, or hugely inflated earnings - weeks worth as my daily earnings.

Also +1 on the date range.

Can anyone tell me which agencies are included in the the $3 and for which you have to pay extra?

Just bought the app. The concept is nice, the implementation still suffers. I also have bought some of the payed "plugin agencies" or whatever they're called and I just found out that:

- Shutterstock is very slow (maybe because there are many sales or whatever but still...)
- Photodune is not working - it shows the total amount, but when I go to details says "no recent sales" which is false. Same problem to canstockphoto.
- 123RF figures are completely wrong, as are Alamy's.
- Alamy shows the total amount, it should also show the cleared amount otherwise is not very useful.

LE: ClipDealer amount is also wrong.

Hello
you will get:  Shutterstock, Istockphoto, Dreamstime, Fotolia, Depositphotos, Bigstockphoto, 123RF, Crestock, Canstockphoto, Yaymicro, Stockfresh, Panthermedia, Pixmac, Photaki

We considering lowering the price to $0.99 and all agencies will be available with subscription for $0.80 a month or lower and you dont have to buy any extra options, this is because we need to constantly maintain the app, update the parser engine, keep track of the agencies website changes, add new agencies and remove out of business agencies

Shutterstock is slow first time when you load the sales and it will cache them, next time will be faster
Photodune: for this agency we show just the latest images sold in the current month, if you dont have sales this month you will see this message
Alamy and 123RF, ClipDealer can you please write us at [email protected] about these problems so we can fix them as no other user reported issues, maybe there is something different with your account and the app cannot access the relevant info

Thank you

Hello

Here is the daily earnings explained same goes for monthly:
the application is trying to figure out daily earnings by looking to last day when you launched the app and the balance for that day, this could be 1 day ago or 3 days ago, the app just calculate the difference between these 2 dates.

The app just try to estimate, this is because we cannot check all the sites, all the sold images links, because this will take too long and the phone will close the app, this feature is approximate, we will try to implement background checks every 5 minutes and this problem i guess will be solved

Lets say last time when you run the app was yesterday at 10:00pm and  between 10:00pm and 12:00pm you had 3 sales and you didnt open the app to check the totals, the 3 sales will appear in the daily earnings next day

Shutterstock is slow every single time I open it. I tried on various internet providers, with the same result.
Photodune: I am having daily sales there, I just had one right now and the program isn't showing anything. Just the total amount.
Alamy: you are getting the "balance carried forward" value, from here http://www.alamy.com/statement.asp (http://www.alamy.com/statement.asp) and you should have also the "cleared balance" - thats the money that are ready to be payed.
123RF: its just wrong, very simple. It shows about a third of my current sales and when I go to details, the "latest sales" are since 3rd Dec.
ClipDealer: its plain wrong, it should show the value from this page https://eu.clipdealer.com/index.php?ACTION=profile&page=provision (https://eu.clipdealer.com/index.php?ACTION=profile&page=provision)  and instead of that it shows a completely arbitrary value. Also, its in $ instead of euro - and no, is not due to conversion. As an idea, the amount shown in your program is bigger than the real amount.

Suggestion: it would be nice to have somewhere written the number of sales per current day for every agency. If I want to see how many files I sold on SS I need to scroll like crazy and count them one by one.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 so its powerful enough for anything.

Ok thank you for the feedback, going to debug the app to fix the issues, also about the sales number for each agency i dont think that is possible right now as almost no agency have an API that can provide this data, the app just scraps all the pages in the site. Just Kozzi and MotionElements have APIs

If you have android tablet and phone you just need 1 licence same if you have iPad and iPhone, but if you have android tablet and iphone you need to buy 2, this is because there are 2 markets, google play and app store, also sync is coming in version 2.0 if you have android tablet and iphone and you have the app installed on it, you just need to enable dropbox sync and your data will be backed up into you dropbox account and synced between all the devices that are backed up with same dropbox account this means all your historical data the app stored in you phone (stats each day and accounts) of course the accounts details are encrypted and then backed up on dropbox

Paul, Photodune is still not working. See in the first screenshot that I had sales (the blue dots over the amount of money). In the second screenshot you see what I get when I tap on Photodune.

Also, the timeout for getting my SS sales is about 3 minutes (extremely long!). See the attached screenshots. First one is when I tap on Shutterstock and second one is exactly when I get the data. Look at the time. This being the third time in a row when requesting sales. Caching does not do much good, it appears.
You might want to think of getting sales by day, not by month. It may be fast for contributors with few sales, but for 1000-2000 sales per month is dead slow.

Thank you Tabimura for your feedback, lets start with Photodune

- for Photodune the app is reading just the monthly sales, for example if the date is 2 Feb and you didn't open the app for 3 days and you had sales in the last day of january the you will see a badge with new earnings as the app see you have different balance but you will not see anything in the sales list because there are no sales in Feb.

- for Shutterstock, yes we cache data and we only count first 50 sales because only these sales are relevant, also the app must do 3 requests to SS website in order to load 1 sold image if is not cached and it can take a lot of time for 50 images, next time you open the app (you said you have 1000-2000 sales / month) there will be 50 new sales different from the ones the app already cached and it's taking same amount of time, right now we cannot do more optimizations because none of the major agencies have an API that provide stats for contributors and we need to update the app for each website (if the website changes), so we are monitoring and get feedback from users every day.

For all of you who asked for widget, in version 2.0 there will be NOTIFICATIONS (app will check your balances automatically in background and notify you for total balance, sum of all new earnings) this will work only work on wifi because for example: if you have 300 MB of 3G data it will drain you monthly data traffic, let me know if there should be an option to enable it on 3G

Thank you for your feedback guys

Just wanted to ask you guys in version 2.0 notifications will notify you when you have new sales, the app will check all agencies and if will sum a total of new earnings and will give you a notification

Is this enough? We could do a notification / agency but you will get spammed an it will be annoying

Let me know what information you want to see

Thank you

Hi Paul

i think options for notification would be good say to only get a summary of sales.

You said you were going to drop the price to  0.99$ are you still going to?

Any possibility of a trial version to try before buy?

thanks

Summary of sales / agency or the total for all agencies?

Yes we are going to drop the price to 0.99 there will be 30 days trial for subscription to see how it's working, but not for the app.
We are still working on version 2.0 and test it don't have an ETA when it's done, 85% done but still needs testing

Yes you will have notifications on Android, only on WIFI because of the huge traffic to the websites

Hey Paul,
No, I'm on Android, Galaxy S4 and S3. All I can see now that Google play stopped support for in app purchase for Serbia :((( That sucks. Yet as I remember I think I bought the app via Mslide or something like that...

This is not Microstockr crash, its Google app crash this can happen if you use custom roms like Cyanogenmod nightly, also we didn't upload it to Mslide only to Google Play and Amazon, on Amazon was deleted

How does the change to subscription work if you've already paid for some agencies and the app itself?

Do you have to subscribe to continue using the app after you upgrade?

A request/suggestion and a question.

Could we have it show the totals at each agency and/or new sales since x? The first would help me keep track of how much I have on my smaller agencies. New or daily doesn't tell me much. Even monthly isn't good enough for a few of them. The second way, would help me when I'm traveling with just my Android device - how much have I made since I left, etc.

The question is there a way to remove an agency? I accidentally clicked on an agency I don't use and tried to enter credentials. Obviously, it failed, but it still shows on my dashboard.

Thanks

Hello

You can remove an agency by going into accounts / agency and save it without password
I thinking to a solution how to implement this custom time interval stats

Tap the total at the bottom of the screen.  Green is for daily earnings.  Tap again for monthly (yellow), and once again to get back to new earnings (blue).

Hi,

I'm testing Microstockr and it is a very useful app, but I have some doubts:

 - What does "daily earning" mean? Last 24 hours? One whole day from 00:00 to 23:59? If the correct is the second one ... which time zone are you considering (CET, EST. ....)?

 - In case you pay for a suscription, do you get all extras? (notifications for all agencies, charts, ...)?

 - Today the app is showing wrong numbers. As you can see in the image attached on some agencies the monthly earning is bigger than the total earning for that agency (yesterday all number were correct)

Thanks!

Hi

- For daily earnings the app is using your phone date so it doesn't matter what timezone do you use
- When you get subscriptions you will have access to notifications, charts and all the other agencies
- The app is trying to estimate the earnings for each month from your daily usage because agencies
do not provide this kind of information, first month it's not very accurate as the app builds statistics
from each day you use it

Thank you

Daily earnings are as well estimated, for example if you close the app from background today or doesn't have wifi access and you have a sale on an agency and you don't open the app for 3 days, after 3 days when you check your earning the app will show you a new sale for the current day, so it's better to use it daily, also this information it's not available on agencies websites and the app is trying to figure it out
Title: Re: Microstockr - Android app for contributors

One last question, when you say daily and monthly earnings are "estimated", are you talking about estimating the earning I will have in that whole month (including the days remaining till the end of month)? or only estimating what I am supposed to have earned till now (from the beginning of the month till now)?

Title: Re: Microstockr - Android app for contributors
Post by: Microstockr on January 13, 2015, 04:00
It only estimates earnings from the beginning of the month until the current day

Hey Paul. My one year subscription just ended?! Less than a month after purchasing it. I'm from Serbia, I used my own credit card, google wallet etc but also a tunnel bear so I can buy the app. Some may disagree with this kind of purchase but that's the only way to buy on google play from Serbia. I don't know if you issued a refund or  did they? In the subscription policy it say - Subscriptions differ from app purchases in that there is no two-hour refund period - all refunds are at the discretion of the content's developer. And that's, if I understand it well, if I ask for a refund.

I paid my own money, nothing illegal except the google thingy. They don't allow people from Serbia to buy apps on google play. It was active for several months in 2011 I think, and then they ended it. So we (all the people that can't buy on google play, now the paradox) download a little app FROM google play, and it's free, called Tunnel Bear. And it tricks google play and google wallet that you are from some other country and it validates your payment method. I added my Payoneer credit card and made the purchase. If they refunded the purchase after seeing that I'm from Serbia, then ok. They are asswipes anyway. It's up to them. But if you did, could you please explain why? And is there any way to get the app back tomorrow? Cause it seems that my one year subscription is ending in one day :))

This is what I got in my email

Your Subscription - 1 year (Microstockr) subscription from MR SERBAN POP on Google Play has been canceled. No refunds will be issued (Refund Policy). Your subscription will remain active through Feb 2, 2015.

Order number: 12999763169054705758.1356867606872455
Order date: Jan 3, 2015 1:47:54 PM EST

And print screen in the attachment.

I don't want a refund, I want a functional app. It's a great app and I gladly payed the money you deserve.

Just to be clear for others, if you buy the yearly subscription, and before that you've installed free trial, it will say that you've payed the yearly amount but it wont be deducted from your card until the free trial period expires. In my case, when the trial expired, I didn't have 10 bucks on my card and there for, they've declined my subscription. Nothing to be alarmed for. Just a good thing to know. The app is still great, google still sucks and that's that :)

Just got a new tablet. Last device, I individually re-entered all account info. Now I see you can sync via dropbox, but I don't see any docs on the app or site how it's done. I've shot in the dark for a while but haven't stumbled across the right combination. Has anyone done this?
Title: Re: Microstockr - Android app for contributors
Post by: dbvirago on February 27, 2015, 08:01
Asked for help from the developer and the answer was, "We use Datastore API from Dropbox"

When I told him that didn't tell me anything, the reply was, "On the new tablet enable the Dropbox sync and you will be prompted with login / pass user the same credentials as on the 1st tablet"

Which is the obvious step I have been taking. Has anyone successfully done this? It doesn't look like I'm going to get help from them, and I'll uninstall and find a different solution before I re-enter 30 credentials.

I'm not that worried about Colourbox, but Shutterstock is one of the main reasons I  use  your app.  I'm quite happy with it, but could you check pls what is going on with these logins? I haven't changed logins for these agencies.

Shutterstock and 123RF logins fail, indeed.

Moreover, I have an old unsolved problem with 123RF:

The app only displays sales up to the 25th sale of the month, since only 25 downloads are displayed on the 1st page, on the website.
All subsequent sales, displayed on the 2nd page or more, are not shown by the app.

I just got an Android update. SS works again, but 123RF requires a very hard to decipher captcha.
Unfortunately, that 123rf bug preventing the latest sales to be seen once you reached 25 sales in a month has not been fixed, yet.

Today's Android update has fixed both SS and 123rf issues (the 123rf captcha is very difficult to see). Thanks!

Anyway, I'm still getting wrong numbers for daily sales and monthly sales ... isn't there any fix for this? Is my smartphone the only one not showing the correct sums? Is something related to local configuration?

Thanks!

Hi guys,

iOS update version will come soon as Apple needs 7-10 days to approve it, also we might disable 123rf until they will try to help contributors not to block them, here is the response from 123rf

"Dear Microstockr,

We understand that the introduction of the captcha for the Earnings page has been a problem for third party applications. Please note that the implementation was part of efforts to increase the efficiency for our server resources which has seen a marked improvement since the introduction, as opposed to any idea of secrecy.

Alternatively, contributors have the option to download our own 123RF On-The-Go app to easily view their earnings.

Hope this clarifies."

----
Hello guys,
is there a way you could provide 3rd party apps with an API to access their accounts? A lot of our clients are complaining about the captcha you have introduced and it would really make their/our lives easier.
Otherwise we would probably need to remove 123RF from our agency list and leaving our 10k customers without a way to access it.

Please consider it.
-----
Dear Microstockr Support,

We've brought it up with our IT team and they mention that there is no development at the moment in that area but if there is in the future, then we will definitely let you know. We fully understand and respect your decision if you need to remove 123RF from your agency list.

Thank you

Thanks for the info, Paul!

For what it's worth, 123RF is not showing earnings on the dashboard page BUT if you click on it, you can still see a list of photos that have sold, including recent ones. So I'd suggest leaving it on the app because it's still informative, at least for the particularly neurotic. (IOS user experience)

Be aware that it only shows the first 25 sales of the month. After the 25th you have to wait for the next month to see new sales again.
This is because there are 25 sales on the 123RF downloads page and the app doesn't read page 2, 3, and so on.

123 is only annoying me.

A, A, B, A, A, C, A, D is shown as A, B, C, D missing those multiple A downloads, with only the last A download being shown.

FYI and maybe it helps: LiveStock app is able to properly show all multiple downloads of the same file.

After I updated Microstockr on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini with Android 4.4.2 today, the program stops every time I use it. I think it's when it comes to 123RF captcha.

Looks like the update from today fixed it. Thanks  :)

We cannot do anything if the site are changing, only to update the app, right now all the agencies are working fine, few problems with 123rf captcha, but we contacted them and they don't want to remove it from the site, maybe if contributors will contact 123rf about this they will remove it

Still Sutterstock connection problem and kozzi can't login, it don't work to me since 3 weeks..... (iOS)

I'm also having problems with Pond5. This should be fixed, it's not freeware.

Hey,

Sorry about the delay fixing Pond5 but we needed to figure out how to access the website after the revamp, so now Pond5 should work fine on Android devices, also you can check our desktop app it's free right now.

iOS update coming soon.

Thank you all.

I have the same problem with bigstock, canstock and mostphotos at the moment.
Worse, on the desktop app canstock doesn't work any more (Yaymicro the same, but that's a non-issue, as they are absolutely dead).
I told them months ago, the told me to try some things like logout/login and even to change my password on canstock, but nothing worked.
I don't think they are still looking for a solution. A bit poor for a paid program...

I’m on iOS but I can’t log into canstock or Pond5. Frustrating when I’m paying the annual subscription fee.

Hi guys,

Pond5 will be removed from the app this is because they blocked us with a captcha and we cannot access the website anymore from the mobile app, we encourage our users to contact them and ask them to implement an API for contributors.

Canstock problem is almost the same, they also have a captcha on their login page, but if you login in the browser that captcha will not show up for 2 weeks after that you can login into the mobile app.

Hope this helps

Hi.
Any news about Linux version?

We decide not to implement the Linux version this is because only 2 people asked for it.
