Title: Print Services?
Post by: dnavarrojr on October 27, 2010, 06:08
A friend of mine decided to start offering prints of his best photos directly from his web site and he's making extra money.  However, he has to do all the work.  A buyer purchases a print from his site and he has to get it printed then ship it to the buyer himself.

I've sold some prints at the farmer's market and some local art fairs and I'm wondering if there are any print service companies that handle printing and shipping... and hopefully easily integrate into a web site.

Does anyone else do anything similar to this?

I am using mpix. They do a great job, excellent turnaround (my last two orders were shipped within a couple hours of my order placement) and they can drop ship to your customer. I don't think they have website integration, though.

check out shutterfly, I remember others here have used their service. I briefly checked it out a couple of days ago, and I believe there is a charge for their service. It might do what you are asking.

I don't know about website integration, however for UK I used Photobox and the client was pleased with the results. Photobox was recommended by a friend in UK, in fact. They also have some sort of online gallery where we can put our photos, but in fact I never paid attention to it.

For integration into your website you could use:
http://www.smugmug.com/ (http://www.smugmug.com/)
http://digibug.com/ (http://digibug.com/)
http://www.zazzle.com/ (http://www.zazzle.com/)
