A simple question regarding editorial submissions

(1/1)

dragonblade:
It's been a while since Ive used Stocksubmitter. I recall there are two editorial checkboxes (one up high and one down below.) When submitting editorial files, should you select the higher checkbox or the lower one? It's been so long that I can't remember which one to select.

dragonblade:
Okay, I think I'll perform a test (in order to get my answer.) Usually, I use Stocksubmitter to submit videos. Though for the test, I'll submit some editorial photos to Dreamstime. I'll select the editorial checkbox near the top of Stocksubmitter (Ive got a feeling that may possibly be the right one.) Then I'll check the files in review on DT. If they are all marked as editorial within DT, I guess that would indicate that the top checkbox is the right one to select.

dragonblade:
I just did a test with some photos (using Stocksubmitter to submit them to Dreamstime.) They were editorial images and I selected the top editorial checkbox within Stocksubmitter. When they were submitted to DT, I checked the page where images were held for review and noted that these particular photos all had an editorial license. So this confirms that the top editorial checkbox is the one to select in Stocksubmitter (not the bottom one.)

What happens when you check the bottom box?

If you check the bottom editorial box instead of the top one, the images will be submitted as commercial. That's what's happened to me in the past. However, if you do intend to submit commercial content, I recommend keeping both boxes unchecked.
