So far, Ive been using Stocksubmitter for a few months and it's been working fine all this time. However, just recently, I got a message saying that I'm using the legacy version and it's recommended that I download the regular version from the website. All this time, I thought I was using the regular version. It also mentioned that no more updates will be available for the legacy version. Just now, I noticed my content wasn't being submitted to Storyblocks because I missed out on some updates.

If I do download the regular version, do I have to go through the whole process again of selecting which stock sites to submit to and disclosing my passwords / user names etc - all over again?

Everything should be preserved.

The only thing you need to change is to disable master password (if you're using it). Otherwise it'll be a flawless upgrade.

I was in the middle of installing the Windows 7 version of Stocksubmitter when a message comes up, saying that 32 bit Windows is not supported anymore. The installation is then aborted. As I have a 32 bit system on my computer, does that mean there's no way that I can use Stocksubmitter?

If you cannot upgrade to a 64-bit OS I would recommend you to connect Microstock.Plus to the old version of StockSubmitter and upload and submit through it - it'll work and will be always using up-to-date code of uploads and submissions.

Thankyou for the recommendation. What actually is Microstock.Plus? I haven't heard of that before. Is it straight forward to connect StockSubmitter to it?

It's our web-based uploading and submission service, there's a thread about it next to this one ;)

Please PM me your registration e-mail in StockSubmitter so I can activate the access to it for you.
After that you can go to the agencies settings in StockSubmitter, activate Microstock.Plus there, then every time you want to upload something - just select Microstock.Plus along with the agencies you want your content to get uploaded to.
Also if you're using releases you should enable keeping them on server so they're always synchronized with MPlus.

When I then start again it says There's an upgrade !!  etc.......

Yes it's something we're trying to fix.
As a workaround just reinstall the program.

Yes, for now every time you encounter this issue just reinstall the program.
Eventually we'll find a way to fix it.

I have the same problem lately, the update window reappears continuously, even though there are 0 differences. Waiting for the fix!

Do you want to upgrade now? No. It's one click.

The program is still not working for me at all.  I did a complete uninstall and even did a registry clean and trash dump.  I downloaded the new program from SS and installed it.  It refuses to restore my backup and just gives me this error (see attached screenshot).  This has been going on for a while now.  I have tried and tried and nothing works.  SOooo Glitchy.  I tried the new online service but got the "We are not excepting new registrations).

The new version has currently issues with restoring backups, you can install the old one, restore the backup and then install the new one.

As of Microstock.Plus - you can PM me your registration e-mail so I can activate the access for you, it's some kind of invite-only system at the moment due to huge amount of those who want to get access.

Already tried installing the Legacy version and restoring a backup I created with the legacy version.  No Joy! I get the exact error as the screenshot above.  I should have NEVER tried to upgrade!  It has been a nightmare ever since.

Can I offer you a bit of friendly advice? Never push your customers to upgrade until you have worked out all the kinks with the new version and make sure it is running smoothly.  The only reason I upgraded was because of that threatening warning I got that said that the version I was using was no longer supported.  You should have never put that warning out, with the new version in shambles like it is. It has been a huge headache for a lot of us.  It would have been fine if everything worked, but it doe snot, and you know that it does not and did it anyway.  Not cool.

It's working smoothly for most of the users with common situations.

Only some tricky cases can cause issues but we would not learn of those if more users wouldn't upgrade.
The warning was there because many agencies have made changes and the old version didn't work properly for those agencies for a while, we had too many support requests and didn't actually have time to continue the development because of that.

In any case, I apologize for the inconvenience caused, as much as we would like it to be a smooth transition it wasn't so smooth for some users despite us doing our best :(
We're just a tiny team and can't really afford a dedicated QA team.

So what happens when you restore the backup in the old version?
