Ive got yet another issue with Stocksubmitter...or perhaps with Pond 5...hard to say. So recently, I used Stocksubmitter to submit a small batch of editorial videos to various agencies. With most of the agencies, the videos are currently pending review. With Pond 5, I got that sign in catchup thing that I had to fill in. When that was completed, Stocksubmitter indicated that it was authorising the video batch for Pond 5. However, it's been authorising for an insanely long time (all day in fact.) It's never taken this long before.

I can see these videos on the Pond 5 website. They's stuck in the 'Needs Edits' category and they've been there for hours. My question is - can I close down Stocksubmitter or do I still need to have it open to allow these videos to go into the 'Pending Review' category?

Try restarting the computer.
If it doesn't help try changing your password on the website and in the program.

I contacted online support and was recommended that I reboot the computer. So I closed Stocksubmitter and rebooted. I opened the program once again and this time around, all the videos were submitted to Pond 5 quite quickly. I logged on to the Pond 5 website and sure enough, all the submitted videos were pending review.

Though then I discovered that all of the videos in this batch were submitted as commercial. They were intended as editorial and I'm 100% definite that I selected the editorial checkbox near the top of the Stocksubmitter page for each one one of those videos - long before the reboot. After the reboot, I checked the Stocksubmitter page again and noted that the editorial checkbox was now clear. I assumed it would still be selected when I turned the program on again - since the same video files were still being submitted.

Guess I now have to delete those videos from Pond 5 and submit them again. Unbelievable.

Thanks for the help. When I started up Stocksubmitter again this morning, I noted that the editorial checkbox was automatically selected this time around. Pity it wasn't like that the last time.

Also make sure that you're clicking the correct Editorial checkbox. The one in the top metadata editor (selected images), not the bottom (template/buffer).

My troubles with Pond 5 are never ending. This morning, I started up Stocksubmitter again and two of the five video files were submitted really quickly. The other three video files have merely been uploaded. Many, many hours later (it's evening now) the status is exactly the same - three uploaded, two submitted. That's a crazy long time with no end in sight. Would another reboot fix this?

That's a common Pond5 issue unfortunately. Just need to wait for their processing system to pick up the files :(
