Hi guys,

Just having problems uploading to Getty iStock. I've verified my logins details, tried logging into incognito, etc. When clicking upload it pops out a Connection error message: "Check your internet connection and try again". Details say: "Code UnkownConnectionError".

This my first time uploading to Getty so not sure whats the correct way. Any help appreciated!

Cheers

What do you see if you click the "Details" in the error message?

Hi Niakris,

Just to update. Played with the istock settings and ticked the "consider files without terms filled not ready for upload". I had no idea what keyword terms are but ended up finding your Istock term editor in the advanced editor settings.

I still get the same connection error when trying to upload, but now it at least asks me to name the Batch and set a Batch upload limit. This didn't popup before. It seems to pass the authorization phase and errors when the status says uploading, after about 2 seconds.

Cheers

Try to select another upload region in settings.

Tried all regions, same connection error. Uploading through a browser to iStock works fine if that helps.

Anything else I can try?

Thanks

Try the following:
- restart your router/modem;
- disable firewall on your router/modem;
- disable your antivirus.

Hey Niakris,

IT guy tried all your suggestions and more, but no luck. He is pretty certain it isn't our network.

When uploading to Getty and the 'Select a Batch' window pops up, should it display all the batches in the dropdown? My dropdown is blank but I do have an open batch in their system.

On a side note
At the moment Im uploading to ESP through a browser but its a nightmare with their 'keyword terms' thing. Each of my clips has at least 10 keywords flagged for being ambigous and it seems I have to go through each clip individually, which is very time consuming. Im trying to use Stocksubmitters Istock term feature to fix these (as it remembers associations? and is quick to go through) but am not sure if i can then export an excel with this data and import through ESP's template manager?

Does anyone know of a better way of dealing with Gettys strict keyword policy or have had a similiar problem when uploading to Getty?

Thanks!

We're currently working on rewriting the ESP support to use their API.
I hope this will fix your problem.

I got a similar message ( haven't uploaded in a while) saying: "Error fetching ESP terms for keywords: MissingLoginInformation (API key or API secret is not specify in setting)"
Where do i go to get the APi key in my account?

Thanks!

The API Key is only given to software developers. You as a contributor won't have access to it.

Our keys were blocked by Getty so we cannot provide them anymore.
So for the uploading and submission to work you need to enter valid API access keys.

So is anyone successful in using StockSubmitter to submit to iStock? Did you get the keys?

No, the API keys are not available, as above.
