Title: Service that handles all the uploading for you?
Post by: Stonefirewon on April 11, 2020, 03:44
You keyword, upload to them and they handle the uploading end of it. Does a service like this exist?

If so and if there are multiples any suggestions on the most reasonable price wise?

https://www.picworkflow.com/ (https://www.picworkflow.com/)

You pay 1 or 2 cent per picture per upload (via credits you have to buy first).
There is a plugIn for LR, so you can upload right from LR after keywording.
But you still have to visit the different agencies to do the "last bit" - like distributing them into the right category.

Did a lot uf uploads via picworkflow last year.

Now I do most via FTP and only a few via picworkflow. Those, that require small sizes like 20 MB max- picworkflow downsizes pics if you want that option. So they downsize and than upload for the money I pay.

As you posted this in the Microstock Submitter forum, I guess you are aware of that application. That one does the full process including the submission elements on each stock agency. I use this all the time for a one-stop shop approach to uploading and submission. I've written about it several times on my blog.

So it does exactly the same thing as Xpiks but takes your money?

I think picworkflow has more functions than xpiks including the ability to store your files with them and also you only need to upload once if using picworkflow and they send to all sites using their bandwidth, where as xpiks works as traditional ftp.

I donīt know what xpiks does but with picworklflow I do indeed upload a picture once to their storage and click which 10 or 20 agencies I want them to submit to. They then downsize to the allowed size and submit my picture to all agencies I asked for.

I had a very slow connection until recently and it took every picture 4 or 5 minutes to upload. So I was happy to only upload them once and they distribute them.
Xpiks sounds more like an FTP upload like FileZilla?

Microstock.Plus does exactly that AND in addition it will also automatically fill all the fields at the agencies websites after uploading, attach releases and send the files for review so you won't have to do anything except pressing the "Upload" button after tagging your images.
It will also track approval status (for 3 agencies for now - Shutterstock, Adobe, Dreamstime, but the list will be expanding soon).

Do you offer keywording service? Is that what tagging stands for? And how does it work? Or do you have something like keywording tool from Microstockgroup? Thanks!

We've integrated couple of existing keywording services.
The most popular one is IMStocker.
We're planning to add more in the future + an AI based automatic keywording that will be using neural networks and image recognition.

That's great. I'll give it a try as soon as possible. But I liked Microstockgroup keywording tool more than IMstocker. It gave me more relevant first 10 keywords for some reason. But it seems broken now. Anyway IMstocker is not bad neither.
And one more question - what's the difference between StockSubmitter and MicrostockPlus, why do you run two platforms? Thank you!

Wirestock. Does all the keywording for you. No need of opening accounts. All handled through on Wirestock account.

I don't like the idea of my pictues being in someone else portfolio. I've already built some kind of reputation and search ranking position that I would like to keep by uploading regularly. Also, I don't like the percentage deal. Noone asks for percentage (models, organizer, retoucher, location owner, assistant etc), they wotk on hire, I'm taking all the risk, like in any business.

Not all microstock contributors prefer the same way of doing things.
Everyone has their own workflow.
We try to offer a platform both to those who prefer to use a desktop app and to those who prefer a web-based app that's working on any device.
But essentially they're doing the same thing, what's different is where does the main "magic" happen - on your computer or on our servers.

Hi I sent you a couple messages about the software. Can you respond? I am wanting to use the software but have some queries.
