I am happy to announce that we started the development of Mac OS X version of the StockSubmitter.

Hard to give any ETA, but we expect basic version to be completed in roughly 2 months.

We'll be very happy to see our Mac users finally using the program natively without having to install VirtualBox or other VM software :)

It is also good moment to tell us about any features you really need from the program. Since we're only starting the development from scratch we can implement or plan some of the features relatively easy compared to doing it later. So don't hesitate to contact me if you have something to say or suggest :)

Glad to hear it! I wondered if we would ever see that day. Give a shout if you need any beta testers. I would be willing to help you out!

Same here: happy to hear that finally I can perform the complete workflow on my Mac - will be happy to test and provide feedback. Current functionality would be a good start I guess... Maybe scheduling of uploads would be a great addition - sometimes I do not want to provide an agency with all photos of a shoot at the same time... Good luck for your development.

I am also hunting for software that can improve my workflow. I will be glad to beta test it once it is ready. Easy keywording is a major issue for me and all other contributors I think. All improvements in this area will be highly appreciated.

I agree with franky242; scheduled upload would be the most amazing feature!
Looking forward trying it on my mac  :)

4K video capability would be helpful.  Please add that.  Thanks

The development process is going well so far.
I think we can expect to release technical alpha preview version in something like 1 month.

Unfortunately, we realized that win-version of StockSubmitter contains LOTS of functionality.
It takes LOTS of time to implement even most important part of it from scratch.
But we're progressing and I think more realistic alpha release date should be January 2015.

We had to further advance the planned alpha release date :(
Seems it won't get out until May.

Are you still on track for a May alpha release? :)

Will it be able to read the same images that were edited in a pc on a mac? including submitted and pending information?    I ask this because i want to work in two computers at the same time.

Waiting here too eagerly for a Mac release. As we are in the photog business, I assume the market share of Macs is huge, so I think investing some time and effort would be definitely worthwhile for you.

However, if this is a type of "if I have some leftover time I code a bit for the Mac version" Project, please let me know and I move on to other software or solutions.

It will (besides releases information because they're stored in a separate data storage).

We hired a dedicated developer to develop a Mac version because I have no experience of Mac development or time to develop 2 software products at  the same time.

Good to know :-) Can you give any estimation on when you can release a alpha?

We're trying hard to fulfill the alpha release date in May but I'm not sure yet if we'll be able to.

I dont want to put you under any pressure but could you give us an update regarding the Mac Alpha - Im thinking about quitting PC for good and since StockSubmitter is one of the few PROs still, Id like to be able to cross that out as well! :-) Thanks...

I'm another Mac addict who would be happy to be a beta tester whenever you're ready.
