Hi,
i have installed StockSubmitter on another PC. Is there a way to copy all preferences and program settings from the old installation to the new? Account Setting, Video stats and so on.

best regards

Philip

Yes, you can use File -> Backup configuration menu command, copy resulting file to another computer and then use File -> Restore backup menu command.

Hi,

I had to reinstall Windows and now i'm trying to restore an old (Jan 01, 2015) *.ssb backup file on StockSubmitter, but it only shows an error "Error loading backup: Unexpected EOF". I guess the old backup file is not compatible with the newest StockSubmitter version? Any ideas how to restore the old settings? I still have the old StockSubitter folder from the broken OS, but i suppose settings can be restored only from an exported *.ssb backup file? Thanks!

Backup feature was broken for a while and the program was giving an error message and producing empty backups (file size = 0).
I guess you made the backup before it was fixed. This backup cannot be restored because it is empty file and does not contain any data.

Fortunately, if you have old StockSubmitter folder (C:\ProgramData\StockSubmitterCore) you can restore it manually.
Please note that the folder should be of this exact name, it is NOT the StockSubmitter folder in Program Files.

The ssb backup file of January is 136 KB, seems like a binary file ending with the string "config/metatemplates.dat".
I restored C:\ProgramData\StockSubmitterCore and the earlier settings seem to work again, thanks for the fast response! :)

In that case most likely reason for problem with restoring backup file is that it is corrupted for some reason.
Glad you resolved it :)
