Title: testing Microstock Plus -> hacked storyblocks account
Post by: 3dart on September 09, 2019, 11:44
Hi there.
I was testing Microstock Plus cloud solution and after a few days, my storyblocks account was hacked.
I am not sure, if there is some context with microstock plus, but it is very strange.
Does anyone have the same experience?
There is changed information printscreen...

Time sequence does not mean causation.  My kid got a sunburn this summer and is now in school. The sunburn did not cause him to go to school...

I have used Microstock Plus for almost a year now.  Storyblocks is one of my accounts. Neither it, nor any of my other accounts has been hacked since I started using MSP.

OTOH, I HAVE had accounts hacked in the past -- at Shutterstock, Adobe, and one other who I forget right now. In each case, my account was changed to assign my payments to a foreign bank.  In each case, I was able to recover before any money was paid (thanks to the email from each agency letting me know there was a change). In each case, I then changed the password to something more secure and unique to that account. No problems since.

@3dart

I would recommend you the following:
- check your computer for viruses, trojans, keyloggers and similar stuff, preferably while booting NOT from your hard disk;
- change your passwords on all agencies to some passwords you are NOT using at other services.

In Microstock.Plus we're storing all logins and passwords in a some kind of a blackbox server that accepts the data but never gives it back so even if someone would somehow hack the microstock.plus website they wouldn't get access to any of the users' credentials. Thus, it's completely not possible for someone to steal your credentials from Microstock.Plus.
